Regardless of the considerations on the validity of Benedict XVI’s “Declaratio”, the subsequent convocation of the conclave (12-13 March 2013) and his election (13 March 2013), JM Bergoglio cannot be pope for reasons completely independent of the choices made or not made by Benedict XVI (choices of which, at least for some of them, there is perhaps still no certainty of the meaning attributed to them by Benedict XVI himself).
This is because JM Bergoglio is clearly evident already a proclaimed heretic before his election (1,2) and as such unable, by virtue of the Papal Bull of Pope Paul IV (3), to complete his valid acceptance of the same election (the so-called “defect of acceptance” mentioned by Arch. Carlo Maria Vigano’ (4)).
