Ioannes 14:1-13
In illo témpore: Dixit Iesus discípulis suis: Non turbátur cor vestrum. Creditis in Deum, et in me crédite. In domo Patris mei mansiónes multæ sunt. Si quo minus, dixíssem vobis: Quia vado paráre vobis locum. Et si abíero et præparávero vobis locum: íterum vénio et accípiam vos ad meípsum, ut, ubi sum ego, et vos sitis. Et quo ego vado, scitis, et viam scitis. Dicit ei Thomas: Dómine, nescímus, quo vadis: et quómodo póssumus viam scire? At that time, Jesus said to His disciples, Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house there are many mansions. Were it not so, I should have told you, because I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I am coming again, and I will take you to Myself; that where I am, there you also may be. And where I go you know, and the way you know. Thomas said to Him, Lord! we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way? Jesus said to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but through Me. If you had known Me, you would also have known My Father. And henceforth you do know Him, and you have seen Him. Philip said to Him, Lord, show us the Father and it is enough for us. Jesus said to him, Have I been so long a time with you, and you have not known Me? Philip, he who sees Me sees also the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I speak not on My own authority. But the Father dwelling in Me, it is He Who does the works. Do you believe that I am in the Father and the Father in Me? Otherwise believe because of the works themselves. Amen, amen, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he shall do, and greater than these he shall do, because I am going to the Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do.

DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
Dal libro della Sapienza.
Sap 5:1-5.
I giusti terranno alta la testa dinanzi a coloro che li oppressero e rapirono le loro fatiche. E questi a tal vista saranno agitati da orribile spavento e resteranno sorpresi di così inaspettata e repentina salvezza.
Dal Vangelo secondo San Giovanni evangelista.
In quel tempo Gesù disse ai suoi discepoli: «Non si turbi il vostro cuore. Credete in Dio ed anche in me. Nella casa di mio Padre ci son molte dimore. Se così non fosse ve l’avrei detto; infatti io vado a preparare un posto per voi. E quando sarò andato e vi avrò preparato il posto, verrò di nuovo a prendervi con me, affinché dove sono io siate anche voi! E del luogo, ove io vado, voi ben conoscete la via». Gli disse Tommaso: «Signore, non sappiamo dove vai, e come possiamo saperne la strada?». Gesù rispose: «Io sono la via, la verità e la vita; nessuno può andare al Padre se non per me. Se aveste conosciuto me, conoscereste pure il Padre; ma d’ora in poi lo conoscete e lo vedete».
Oggi celebriamo la festa di Filippo e Giacomo, entrambi apostoli. Un tempo tutte le feste degli apostoli erano di precetto. Infatti e’ giusto perche loro hanno vissuto la Pentecoste! Da quel comento si sono dedicati totalmente alla missione dell’Evangelizzazione, molti di loro morendo martiri. Loro stessi sono di grandissimo aiuto a tutta la Chiesa!
Cio’ nonostante la falsa chiesa contemporanea ha dimenticato questi formidabili testimoni della fede!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

From the book of Wisdom.
Wis 5:1-5.
The righteous will hold their heads high before those who oppressed them and stole their labors. And at this sight they will be shaken by horrible fear and will be surprised by such an unexpected and sudden salvation.
From the Gospel according to Saint John the Evangelist.
At that time Jesus said to his disciples: «Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God and also in me. In my Father’s house there are many mansions. If it weren’t so I would have told you; for I am going to prepare a place for you. And when I have gone and prepared a place for you, I will come again to take you with me, so that where I am you may be too! And of the place where I go, you know the way well.” Thomas said to him: “Lord, we do not know where you are going, and how can we know the way?”. Jesus replied: «I am the way, the truth and the life; no one can go to the Father except through me. If you had known me, you would also know the Father; but from now on you know him and see him.”
Today we celebrate the feast of Philip and James, both apostles. Once upon a time all the feasts of the apostles were of obligation. In fact it is right because they experienced Pentecost! From that comment they dedicated themselves totally to the mission of Evangelization, many of them dying as martyrs. They themselves are of great help to the whole Church!
Nonetheless, the contemporary false church has forgotten these formidable witnesses of the faith!
