EVANGELIUM E OMELIA\HOMILY:
Ioannes 15:1-7
Manéte in me: et ego in vobis. Sicut palmes non potest ferre fructum a semetípso, nisi mánserit in vite: sic nec vos, nisi in me manséritis. Ego sum vitis, vos pálmites: qui manet in me, et ego in eo, hic fert fructum multum: quia sine me nihil potéstis fácere.
Gospel
John 15:1-7
In that time, Jesus said to his disciples: I am the true vine; and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me, that beareth not fruit, he will take away: and every one that beareth fruit, he will purge it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now you are clean by reason of the word, which I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abide in the vine, so neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine: you the branches: he that abideth in me, and I in him, the same beareth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing. If any one abide not in me, he shall be cast forth as a branch, and shall wither, and they shall gather him up, and cast him into the fire, and he burneth. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask whatever you will, and it shall be done unto you.
DALL’OMELIA (FROM THE HOMILY) – MERTEDI 7 MAGGIO 2024 ORE 18.00

DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
Dal libro della Sapienza.
Sap 5:1-5
Rimanete in me: ed io in voi.
FROM THE HOMILY BY DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
From the book of Wisdom.
Wis 5:1-5
The righteous will hold their heads high before those who oppressed them and stole their labors. And at this sight they will be shaken by horrible fear and will be surprised by such an unexpected and sudden salvation.
From the Gospel according to St. John.
At that time Jesus said to his disciples: «I am the true vine, my Father is the cultivator. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit, he will cut off, and what does bear fruit, he will prune, so that it bears even more. You are already clean because of the word that I announced to you. Remain in me: and I in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit on its own if it does not remain united to the vine, neither can you if you do not remain in me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who remains in me and I in him bears much fruit; because without me you can’t do anything.
Today we celebrate Saint Stanislaus, martyr bishop of Krakow. After his martyrdom, the Church was protected by his intercession.
Even now we must follow the example of Saint Stanislaus. We can therefore ask Saint Stanislaus to protect us all.
Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised!
