Lettura della Lettera di San Paolo Apostolo a Timoteo.
Io sopporto tutto per amore dei fratelli, dice S. Paolo.
Gesu’ dice di essere la vite mentre il padrone della vigna e’ Dio stesso.
Dal vangelo secondo Giovanni. Chiunque mangia il mio corpo resta in me. Chi non lo fa non e’ con me.
Oggi celebriamo la memoria di S. Giorgio martire, molto venerato nel medio evo e patrono degli eserciti spirituali. Nell’ordine degli angeli abbiamo San Michele, a tra gli uomini S.Giorgio. I suoi frutti sono incalcolabili in quanto martire.
Il martirio e’ simile alla potatura della vite che la rende molto piu’ produttiva. Chiunque vuole vivere piamente sara’ perseguitato!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

Reading of the Letter of Saint Paul the Apostle to Timothy.
I endure everything for the love of my brothers, says St. Paul.
Jesus says he is the vine while the owner of the vineyard is God himself.
From the gospel according to John. Whoever eats my body remains in me. Whoever doesn't do it is not with me.
Today we celebrate the memory of St. George the martyr, much venerated in the Middle Ages and patron of spiritual armies. In the order of angels we have St. Michael, and among men, St. George. His fruits are incalculable as a martyr.
Martyrdom is similar to pruning the vine which makes it much more productive. Anyone who wants to live piously will be persecuted!
