DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
Rom 13:11-14.
Fratelli: Sapete che è ormai tempo di risvegliarsi. Poiché adesso la salvezza è piú vicina a noi di quando venimmo alla fede. La notte è inoltrata e si appressa il giorno. Spogliamoci dunque delle opere delle tenebre e indossiamo le armi della luce. Portiamoci con decoro, come di giorno, non tra i banchetti e le ubriachezze, non nei piaceri e nelle impudicizie, non con discordia e invidia: ma rivestendoci del Signore Gesú Cristo.
Luc 21:25-33
In quel tempo: Gesú disse ai suoi discepoli: Ci saranno segni nel sole, nella luna e nelle stelle, e nella terra costernazioni di genti sbigottite dal rimbombo delle onde e dall’agitazione del mare, mentre gli uomini tramortiranno dalla paura e dall’attesa di quello che starà per accadere alla terra: perché anche le potenze dei cieli saranno sconvolte. Allora si vedrà il Figlio dell’uomo venire sulle nubi in gran potenza e maestà.
Sono le letture di domenica. Il cielo e la terra passeranno, ma lemie parole non passeranno, dice il Signore.
Gli uomini saranno nell’angoscia. Menter per noi non sara’ cosi: dovremo alzare il capo in attesa della liberazione portata dal Signore! La grazia di Dio ci raggiungere per aiutarci a passare le prove che colpiscono noi e la Chiesa.
Potremo cosi’ gioire all’arrivo del Signore!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

Rom 13:11-14. Brethren: You know it is time to wake up. For now salvation is nearer to us than when we came to faith. The night is advanced and the day is approaching. Let us therefore strip off the works of darkness and put on the weapons of light. Let us carry ourselves with dignity, as during the day, not among banquets and drunkenness, not in pleasures and indecency, not with discord and envy: but putting on the Lord Jesus Christ.
Luke 21:25-33 At that time: Jesus said to his disciples: There will be signs in the sun, in the moon and in the stars, and in the earth consternations of people amazed by the roar of the waves and the agitation of the sea, while men will stupefy from fear and expectation of what will happen to the earth: for also the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the Son of Man will be seen coming in the clouds in great power and majesty.
These are Sunday readings. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away, says the Lord. Men will be in anguish. It won’t be like this for us: we will have to lift our heads in anticipation of the deliverance brought by the Lord! God’s grace reaches us to help us pass the trials that affect us and the Church. We will thus be able to rejoice in the arrival of the Lord!
Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised!
