DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
Gal 6:14-18.
Fratelli, a me non avvenga mai che mi vanti, se non della croce di nostro Signore Gesù Cristo, mediante il quale il mondo è stato per me crocifisso, così come io lo sono per il mondo. Poiché in Gesù Cristo nessun valore ha il fatto di essere o no circoncisi, ma l’essere una nuova creatura. E quanti seguiranno questa regola, pace su loro e misericordia, e sull’Israele di Dio.
Matt 11:25-30
In quel tempo, Gesù prese a dire: «Venite a me, voi tutti che siete affaticati ed oppressi, e io vi darò riposo. Prendete su di voi il mio giogo, e imparate da me che sono mite ed umile di cuore; e troverete riposo per le vostre anime, perché il mio giogo è soave, e il mio peso è leggero».
Oggi e’ la festa di S. Francesco d’Assisi. I suoi figli sono in tutto il mondo. Affidiamo a lui l’Italia di cui e’ patrono. Da giovane, dopo aver partecipato a una guerra sanguinosa tra i comuni, ebbe una conversione. Incontro’ il Signore tornando ferito e ammalato dalla guerra. Comincio’ a vedere Gesu crocifisso non solo nelle chiese, particolarmente in quelle semi-distrutte, ma soprattutto nei poveri.
Abbandono’ le sue ricchezze personali aliendandosi cosi l’affetto del padre che lo diseredo’. Ma Francesco si dedico’ esclusivamente alla vita monastica nella poverta’ assoluta. Fondo’ tre ordini religiosi: l’ordine minore dei francescani per i monaci, un analogo ordine femminile e infine l’ordine dei terziari francescani per i laici.
Lasciamoci ispirare da San Francesco nel nostro presente e futuro!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

Gal 6: 14-18. Brothers, it never happens to me that I boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world was crucified for me, just as I am for the world. Since in Jesus Christ there is no value in being circumcised or not, but in being a new creature. And how many will follow this rule, peace be upon them and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.
Matt 11: 25-30 At that time, Jesus began to say: «Come to me, all you who are fatigued and oppressed, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me that I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for your souls, because my yoke is sweet, and my weight is light ».
Today is the feast of St. Francis of Assisi. His children are all over the world. We entrust to him the Italy of which he is patron.
As a young man, after participating in a war between the municipalities, he had a conversion. I meet the Lord returning wounded and sick from the war.
He began to see Jesus crucified not only in churches, particularly in the semi-destroyed ones, but above all in the poor.
He abandoned his personal wealth, thus extending the affection of his father who disinherited him. But Francis devoted himself exclusively to monastic life in absolute poverty.
He founded three religious orders: the minor order of Franciscans, an analogous female order and finally the order of Franciscan tertiaries for the laity.
Let us be inspired by St. Francis in our present and future!
