Evangelium
Matt 22:29-40
In his duóbus mandátis univérsa lex pendet et Prophétæ.
Gospel
Matt 22:29-40
At that time, Jesus answered and said to the Sadducees, You err because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God. For at the Resurrection they will neither marry nor be given in marriage, but will be as angels of God in heaven. But as to the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken to you by God, saying, ‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. And when the crowds heard this, they marveled at His teaching. But the Pharisees, hearing that He had silenced the Sadducees, gathered together. And one of them, a doctor of the Law, putting Him to the test, asked Him, Master, which is the great commandment in the Law? Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with your whole heart, and with your whole soul, and with your whole mind.’ This is the greatest and the first commandment. And the second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.
DALL’OMELIA DI (FROM THE HOMILY BY) DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA – ORARI S.MESSA DI MARTEDI 21 GIUGNO ORE 8.00
DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (*,1)
Eccli 31:8-11

FROM THE HOMILY BY DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
Eccli 31: 8-11 Blessed is the man who is found without blemish, who did not go after gold, and did not hope for money and treasures.
Matt 22: 28-40 At that time Jesus, replying to the Sadduces, said: “You are wrong because you do not understand the Scriptures, nor the power of God. After being resurrected, in fact, they neither marry nor marry; but they live as God’s Angels in Heaven. As for the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what God said to you: “Am I the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob?”. He is therefore not the God of the dead, but of the living ».
Today we remember St. Luigi Gonzaga (1568-1591), protector of youth. From childhood his father (lord of Mantua and Ferrara) educated him in arms.
But at the age of 10 Luigi had decided that his path was another. He wanted to please God in everything, everything had to correspond to God’s will.
At the age of 12 he received his first communion from St. Charles Borromeo, who had come to visit Brescia. He then decided to enter the company of Jesus dedicating himself to the humble and the sick. During the plague epidemic that struck Rome, carrying a dying man on his shoulders, he was infected and died (1591).
He was only 23 years old. He had died for love of neighbor.
Pope Benedict XIII canonized him on December 31, 1726, as a model for youth. Many convert as adults and in old age.
But St. Louis wanted to dedicate his youth to the Lord. It was a flame of fire from the Lord!
Praised be Jesus Christ. Always be praised!
