EVANGELIUM E OMELIA\HOMILY:
Evangelium
Luc 18:31-43
At ille dixit: Dómine, ut vídeam.
Gospel
Luke 18:31-43
At that time, Jesus taking to Himself the Twelve said to them, Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things that have been written by the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be accomplished. For He will be delivered to the Gentiles, and will be mocked and scourged and spit upon; and after they have scourged Him, they will put Him to death; and on the third day He will rise again. And they understood none of these things and this saying was hidden from them, neither did they get to know the things that were being said. Now it came to pass as He drew near to Jericho, that a certain blind man was sitting by the wayside, begging; but hearing a crowd passing by, he inquired what this might be. And they told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. And he cried out, saying, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me! And they who went in front angrily tried to silence him. But he cried out all the louder, Son of David, have mercy on me! Then Jesus stopped and commanded that he should be brought to Him. And when he drew near, He asked him, saying, What would you have Me do for you? And he said, Lord, that I may see. And Jesus said to him, Receive your sight, your faith has saved you. And at once he received his sight, and followed Him, glorifying God. And all the people upon seeing it gave praise to God.
DALL’OMELIA DI (FROM THE HOMILY BY) DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA – ORARI S.MESSA DI OGGI DOMENICA 27 FEBBRAIO 2022, ORE 10.30

DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (*)
1 Cor 13:1-13
Mentre salgono a Gerusalemme Gesu’

FROM THE HOMILY BY DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**)
1 Cor 13: 1-13 Brothers: When I speak the languages of men and angels, if I do not have charity, I am like a resounding bronze or a ringing cémbalo. And when I had the prophecy and understood all the mysteries and all the sciences, and if I had all the faith so as to move mountains: if I don’t have charity, I am nothing.
Luke 18: 31-43 And Jesus said to him: See, your faith has saved you. And immediately he saw, and followed him: magnifying God. And all the people, seeing this, gave praise to God. For now these three things remain: faith, hope and charity, but the greatest is charity.
We are very close to Lent. Lent begins precisely on Ash Wednesday. We prepare the ashes. The readings prepare us. Jesus announces his passion.
As they go up to Jerusalem, Jesus announces his passion, death and resurrection. And then there is the miracle of healing the man born blind. It was a sign for the apostles and the early church. The apostles wanted to attempt a triumphal arrival for the> Messiah. But his first arrival is that of his suffering. We too must open our eyes to reality.
We too see that we have to go through the cross. It is time for the passion of the Church! Our path is more and more alone. Many want to stay in Jericho, few are those willing to make the sdalite to Jerusalem. It is the path of Christ. But we must not be afraid! It is the path of Christ! Many live outside of reality, hypnotized and confused by the media.
These people do not live in the light, but are kept in darkness for the interest and privilege of a few. But only Jesus Christ gives us the light of the mind!
The blind man’s strength was to cry out the faith! And the Lord said to him: see, your faith has saved you. Saint Paul shows us the way to salvation: charity.
It is not just the works, but also the disposition of the soul.
It is not a question of gifts and charistms, but only of love for God and neighbor. This is charity!
Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised!
