FONTE: The Terrifying Origin of COVID19

For the past three years, the world has wondered about the origins of SARS-CoV-2, the novel coronavirus which causes the respiratory and other symptoms commonly referred to as COVID-19. It seems we need wonder no longer.
In a recent interview, a confidential source, whom I shall call “X,” revealed to me that SARS-CoV-2 is a “bioweapon” which was “engineered” and “deliberately spread” by agents working both wittingly and, in at least one important case, unwittingly for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). According to X, SARS-CoV-2 is an instrument of “bio-terrorism” meant to bring the world closer to dictatorship under the Chinese communist regime.
Whistleblower in Wuhan
In November of 2022 I was approached by a trusted colleague who has extensive sources inside the People’s Republic of China and a strong command of Mandarin Chinese. My colleague had conducted two lengthy interviews with a source—X—who had approached my colleague with explosive revelations about the origins of SARS-CoV-2. To protect others inside the PRC, my colleague contacted me and asked if I would communicate with X and convey X’s information in print. I agreed.
My colleague then put me in touch with X, who confirmed to me the information relayed to my colleague and who also provided additional information for this report.
X is a native speaker of Mandarin. X is also an American citizen and speaks English at a very high level. (Some of the quotes from X below have been very slightly altered for clarity.) X’s information came from personal observation and also from a second source, whom I shall call “Y.”
X fears that Y may have been disappeared by the government of the People’s Republic of China, perhaps killed.
According to X, X and Y studied in the same medical university and knew each other there. X and Y have, according to X, known each other for years.
Neither my colleague nor I were able to make contact with Y, although we did confirm that Y was listed on the roster of an academic conference held in early 2022. X is also unable to make contact with Y. X fears that Y may have been disappeared by the government of the People’s Republic of China, perhaps killed.
X went to China to visit family before the coronavirus pandemic and was stuck in Wuhan when COVID first broke out. As someone with medical training, X was required to work in one of the Wuhan hospitals (without pay) in the beginning stage of the outbreak. (I and my colleague know the name of the hospital but I am withholding it to keep X’s identity a secret.) According to X, at that time Y was working at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
Engineering a Killer
The coronavirus pandemic hit Wuhan very hard. X claims to have seen over one thousand dead bodies in the parking lot of the hospital where X was forced to volunteer. The bodies, X says, began piling up as the coronavirus took its toll on the city.
According to X, it was around this time that X encountered Y one day in the hospital in Wuhan where X was made to work as an emergency staffer. Y indicated to X that Y had something important to say to X. Y invited X to Y’s home. At a later date, Y picked X up from the hospital and drove X to Y’s home, where Y revealed to X the information which X relates below.
X said: “A Chinese scientist named [Y] was on the staff of the Wuhan Institute of Virology. I knew [Y] for a while. Y contacted me in 2020, specifically in March, about something about the virus that was going on at that time.”
“The virus that was going on at that time” means the SARS-CoV-2 outbreak which was planetary news by March of 2020.
Y was the one who did some critical tests to the virus strain back in 2019, in February.
When asked why Y contacted X, X replied:
“Well, [Y] told me that people around [Y] were dying. [Y] was very, [Y] felt very guilty about all the things, according to [Y]. I was even joking about it. I said, ‘You are not even a doctor, what has that to do with you?’ [Y] said [Y] was the one who did some critical tests to the virus strain back in 2019, in February.”
X was then asked during our interview: “What kind of test did [Y] mean, and what kind of virus?”
X replied: “According to [Y], there were four strains of coronavirus given to [Y] by [Y’s] superior in Nanjing City. […] [Y] tested on those four strains, to test the affinity of the strains, how well they could infect, or how easily they could infect other species including humans. The animals [Y] used, as mentioned by [Y], were transgenic mice with human ACE2 receptors, ferrets, and monkeys.”
We then asked X for more information about the coronaviruses on which Y said Y had been conducting experiments.
X replied: “All the coronavirus strains can cause minor symptoms. But I did not hear anything about the fatality or anything of the strains.”
X was then asked how far along Y was in Y’s study, whether Y was close to being able to infect humans with any of the coronavirus strains under experimentation.
X replied: “[Y] used the word ‘complete’. [Y] had four completed virus strains, which means, to my hypothesis, that they are all capable of infecting humans. [Y] and [Y’s] research team were just expected to find out the one which was sufficient to infect every single species.”
X was then asked, “So when you say ‘complete’, do you mean those viruses were all engineered?”
X replied: “Yes, they’re artificial.”
X was then asked: “Do you have any idea who engineered those viruses?”
X replied: “No.”
Y was affiliated with the Wuhan Institute of Virology in February of 2019.
In response to a follow-up question, X also replied that X had “no idea” where Y worked at the time Y was conducting research into the coronaviruses.
We pressed X further on this point: “So, you have no idea at all when or where [Y] worked when [Y] did those experiments on the four virus strains?”
X replied: “For that part [Y] was in Wuhan.”
X was then asked: “But you don’t know where.”
X replied: “I don’t know if [Y] was affiliated with the Wuhan Institute of Virology or not. But [Y] was in Wuhan at that time conducting tests on the experimental strains.”
X was then asked: “Do you think there is a possibility that [Y] still worked for the Wuhan Institute of Virology at that point?”
X replied: “I would say yes, but I cannot confirm. [Y] didn’t tell me where [Y] worked when [Y] told me about [Y’s] experiments.”
However, my colleague and I have since confirmed that Y was affiliated with the Wuhan Institute of Virology in February of 2019.
We then asked X why Y had been conducting such tests.
We have also established that Y is known to Yan Limeng, a Chinese virologist who also argues that the SARS-CoV-2 virus was created in a laboratory in the People’s Republic of China. (Yan has fled to the United States and has been subjected to what she describes as censorship of her work into the origins of SARS-CoV-2.)
X replied: “To see the transmissibility of the viruses. In May or June of 2019, [Y] already got the results of [Y’s] tests. [Y] found a strain that is very capable of infecting many kinds of hosts, which can mask off the intermediate hosts and the origination of the virus.”
Setting the Pandemic in Motion
The above information which X provided is accurate. Working extensively in Chinese-language materials, my colleague and I confirmed Y’s affiliation with the Wuhan Institute of Virology, as well as Y’s expertise in a particular virology subfield. We have also established that Y is known to Yan Limeng, a Chinese virologist who also argues that the SARS-CoV-2 virus was created in a laboratory in the People’s Republic of China. (Yan has fled to the United States and has been subjected to what she describes as censorship of her work into the origins of SARS-CoV-2.)
My colleague and I vetted X, Y, and the information which X gave us. Except for the age of Y (which X had wrong by a few years), everything else which X told us proved accurate to the extent that we were able to verify claims using outside sources. All of the background information also corroborated X’s account in both general patterns and details. X provided us with screenshots of communications and other information, all of which corroborated what X told us in the interviews. Also, in the interviews my colleague and I conducted with X, X displayed a sophisticated and ready knowledge of medicine and medical research, indicating that X had indeed had the medical training that X claimed to have received.
My colleague and I were able to confirm other details which X provided about Y, such as that Y was in North America at the specific location which X gave us. (X speculates that Y was in North America doing “post-doctoral research,” which fits with the rest of the information we have about Y but which we have not yet been able to confirm.)
After learning that Y had been conducting experiments on four coronavirus strains to determine transmissibility, we asked X if Y had actually tried to infect human beings with any of the abovementioned four coronavirus strains after conducting experiments using mice, ferrets, and monkeys in February of 2019.
X replied: “Not from [Y],” which we think means that Y was not the one who performed experiments on human subjects.
X continued: “But [Y] mentioned something. One of [Y’s] research team, several, not one, [Y] said several, several of [Y’s] research team went missing during the World Military Games, in September, September and October.”
One of the research team members told [Y] that they were asked to go to several hotels where the athletes from overseas [in Wuhan to attend the World Military Games] would reside… [Y] was guessing that the research team members were actually trying to spread the virus to the athletes, so the athletes could bring those things back to their countries.
“[Y] had a guess. [Y] was guessing that the research team members were actually trying to spread the virus to the athletes, so the athletes could bring those things back to their countries.”
The World Military Games were held in Wuhan from October 18 to October 27, 2019.
X was then asked what X meant by “went missing”.
X replied: “[Y’s] research team members were moving out to participate in something. But [Y] was not authorized to know all the things. [Y] does not know. So, according to [Y], the research team members were missing for a while.
“[Y] said that one of the research team members told [Y] that they were asked to go to several hotels where the athletes from overseas [in Wuhan to attend the World Military Games] would reside, to do some health inspections, which is very strange. You know, usually you do that health inspection with physicians, not virologists.
“[Y] had a guess. [Y] was guessing that the research team members were actually trying to spread the virus to the athletes, so the athletes could bring those things back to their countries.”
X was then asked: “Did [Y] tell you that [Y] suspected that?”
X replied: “Yeah, [Y] told me that, but I didn’t, I didn’t believe it.”
We asked X: “Could you describe in detail exactly how [Y] worded it? What exactly did [Y] tell you? What kind of language did [Y] use, the exact wording? Could you try to translate as accurately as you could?”
‘The virus is deliberately released.’ That’s what [Y] said.
X replied: “Well, what [Y] said is, exactly what [Y] said is, ‘I believe one of the guys was asked to inoculate people from other countries during the event so that they could be infected and carry the pathogen back to the country they came from with only minor symptoms, which is pretty common in late autumn’.”
X was then asked: “That’s the exact wording [Y] used?”
X replied: “Yes.”
We pressed X for more information: “[Y] said one of [Y’s] research team members was supposed to spread or put or inject or whatever method they use…”
X interrupted: “Probably, to [Y], probably [Y] didn’t mean exactly [Y’s] team member. [Y’s] team member probably participated in some procedures to infect something or someone for that purpose. But that’s just my hypothesis, no one has any solid evidence on that.
“[Y] does not know a lot about the event. [Y] just realized that some of [Y’s] team members had gone missing during that time, and one of them happened to tell [Y] about this.
“[Y] was sure that [Y’s] team member or members was or were taken during, before and during the event to the hotel and sometimes to the meeting, to the meeting site, just to do health inspections. That’s what [Y] was told.
“That’s all [Y] could say about the event.”
“But that’s what [Y] told you?” X was then asked.
X replied: “Yes.”
X was then asked: “What were the exact words [Y] used when [Y] told you [Y’s] hypothesis, or [Y’s] suspicion?”
X replied: “‘The virus is deliberately released.’ That’s what [Y] said.”
X was then asked: “Okay, so from what [Y] told you, you believe that the novel coronavirus released in September 2019 was exactly the one [Y] researched in February 2019?”
X replied: “Yes, [Y] confirmed that.”
The “Bioweapon” Activates
X’s account in the preceding section is impossible to verify. X is relating a hypothesis presented to X by Y, who was working off of circumstantial evidence. Without access to Y, we cannot confirm that Y said any of the things which X attributes to [Y]. Even with access to Y, we still would not be able to confirm about the missing team members or those team members whereabouts during September and October of 2019. Without access to Wuhan Institute of Virology logbooks, travel records or receipts, or other such documents, the claims which X makes remain unvetted.
When [Y] told me about this in March of 2020, [Y] was very emotional. [Y] saw a lot of people die, and [Y] felt really guilty because those strains came from [Y’s] hands. [Y] didn’t create them, but [Y] helped [Y’s] superior in Nanjing bring those virus strains to perfection, to make them perfect, to make them more like a good bioweapon.
The facts that my colleague and I have been able to establish are that Y was, and apparently remains, a virologist at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, and that Y would have had the capability to conduct the experimentation on coronaviruses which X describes. Beyond that, the part about some of Y’s research team members having gone missing before and during the World Military Games in 2019, and the part about deliberately infecting some of the athletes there with at least one of the coronaviruses which Y engineered, are hearsay and conjecture.
We asked X: “[Y] told you this [i.e., about the missing team members and the Wuhan Military Games] in March 2020, right?”
X replied: “Yes.”
X was then asked: “That was several months after the World Military Games. During those several months, did [Y] get any information regarding whether [Y’s] team member or members had been involved in that event? Did [Y] give any information about how, if they tried to do something, how successful that something was? Is there any feedback or consequences or any kind of result of what they tried to do?”
X replied: “No, [Y] didn’t mention anything about the consequences of the virus before that.”
We asked X: “Do you think that, when [Y] told you, [Y] felt guilty about what [Y] did? Do you think that what [Y] did was related to the World Military Games? Or do you think [Y] was responsible only for having engineered the coronaviruses, and had nothing to do with what allegedly happened at the World Military Games?”
X replied: “When [Y] told me about this in March of 2020, [Y] was very emotional. I can only try to translate what [Y] was saying, and [Y] was saying [Y] saw a lot of people die, and [Y] felt really guilty because those strains came from [Y’s] hands. [Y] didn’t create them, but [Y] helped [Y’s] superior in Nanjing bring those virus strains to perfection, to make them perfect, to make them more like a good bioweapon. ‘Bioweapon’ was the word [Y] used.”
Our conjecture, which is supported by very strong circumstantial evidence, is that Y’s “superior in Nanjing” may be Shi Peiyong. For example, Shi is listed as Y’s “mentor” in an article co-authored by Y, Shi, and several others. Shi is affiliated with an institution in the United States in the same place that Y resided while in that country. A Xinhua article (now deleted) mentions Shi and Y. Pei-Yong Shi worked with PLA’s Institute of Military Medicine, Academy of Military Sciences, a Distinguished Research Fellow at Wuhan Institute of Virology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Shi is also associated with an institution in Nanjing. There are several more very persuasive pieces of circumstantial evidence which we reviewed, but which we do not disclose here in the interest of protecting Y’s identity.
We asked X: “So, the Chinese Communist Party was engineering viruses and purposely trying to infect people and to study which virus was best in terms of infection rate?”
X replied: “Not infection rate. In terms of the best unrestricted bioweapon, that’s what I want to say.”
“The best unrestricted bioweapon?” was our follow-up question.
X replied: “Yes.”
X was then asked: “So you said [Y] used the word ‘bioweapon’?”
X replied: “Yes, [Y] did.”
We asked X: “So [Y] specifically told you that [Y] was guilty for this, you know, at that time we already know it was a coronavirus that was killing people in Wuhan and elsewhere.”
X replied: “Yes.”
[Y] mentioned, I will probably go missing after this, and if I go missing, you must not hesitate to tell people what you feel is right.
X was then asked: “So [Y] definitely was very sure that this had something to do with what [Y] did back in 2019?”
X replied: “Because, if I remember correctly, the sequence, the genomic sequence, and the polypeptide sequence of the virus, this was already out in early February of 2020. So, as a professional [Y] must have read the paper, so [Y] must have recognized what that is.”
We asked X: “When you say that [Y] was very emotional, could you tell us a little bit more about [Y’s] emotion and under what kind of circumstances, or why you think [Y] was emotional and do you think you can trust [Y’s] words when [Y] was very emotional?”
X replied: “Well, not the words alone, but now I read a lot of different information from different aspects, I would say, I trust [Y].”
A Suicide Mission, and Some Final Words
The information which Y allegedly told X would be very close to a confirmation that the coronavirus pandemic was caused by the Chinese Communist Party. Anyone who made such an allegation inside the People’s Republic of China would almost certainly be arrested, and possibly never heard from again. If X and Y were really friends, then why would X convey to us what Y told X about what Y did and saw? Approaching us with this information is tantamount to a death sentence for Y.
We asked X: “Why would [Y] choose to tell you all of this? This can be evidence that could carry very, very serious consequences for [Y], for [Y] personally as well as for [Y’s] family.”
X replied: “Yes, [Y] actually told me that, April 2020, at that time [Y] told me, [Y] was on a plane from Wuhan to Xinjiang. What [Y] said—we were using a very specific way to contact each other at that time, so I cannot tell you what that is, but we have to suggest each other using underlying meanings.”
My colleague and I have verified the method which X and Y were using for communication.
X continued: “And what [Y] said, what [Y] said exactly, was, ‘I was sent to Xinjiang to do some health inspections for the people in the reeducation camps, so that they could go home and don’t have to crowd in the camps to make the disease spread more.’ That’s what [Y] said.”
X was then asked: “Do you think [Y] was sent there to spread the virus, or to do more tests on human beings?”
X replied: “I don’t know, but I would guess so. I will guess either [Y]’s doing experiments on humans, or [Y] tried to infect them and then let them go back home. Because from what I know, in Xinjiang, the Uighurs and the Chinese majority race, the Han, were living in segregation. They’re not living together. They’re in different communities even though they’re in the same city. So there’s a way to say that this allows the government to control which one they want to infect, if they’re doing the latter.”
X was then asked: “Do you have any theory as to what [Y] really did in Xinjiang? What was the purpose? Do you have any guess?”
X replied: “My theory is, most likely to go for the latter, which means the government was trying to infect the Uighurs and send them back to their community, trying to affect them all, trying to—my hypothesis is, they’re probably trying to do health checks, on the pretext of benefitting the Uighurs, and trying to collect some biological data from such groups of people. That’s what I’m thinking. The government was probably not intending to kill them, because the fatality of this virus is not that high.
I know people who were in jail, basically the camps, who wanted to fight back against the tyranny of the Communist Party. [Y] was sent there, and [Y] suggested [Y] was there doing health inspections…. Then the Uighurs are freed to go back home after the health inspection. And I would only guess the worst, that [Y] is probably going to infect them so they will bring the virus back to their families.
“And [Y] mentioned, I will probably go missing after this, and if I go missing, you must not hesitate to tell people what you feel is right.”
We asked: “So that is why you are telling us this?”
X replied: “Yes. I lost contact with [Y] since that exchange in April of 2020.”
We asked X: “What do you think has happened to [Y]?”
X replied: “I don’t know. Hopefully [Y]’s just silenced, not in a way of permanent silence, of course.”
We pressed X for more information about the April, 2020 exchange. “Tell us a little bit more about what [Y] said, why [Y] was sent to Xinjiang from Wuhan.”
X replied: “I read some news about Xinjiang. I know that there are education camps there, and I know people who were in jail, basically the camps, who wanted to fight back against the tyranny of the Communist Party. [Y] was sent there, and [Y] suggested [Y] was there doing health inspections but [Y] is not a doctor, [Y] is just a virologist. As a virologist in the education camp. Then the Uighurs are freed to go back home after the health inspection. And I would only guess the worst, that [Y] is probably going to infect them so they will bring the virus back to their families.”
We asked X: “So, you think the CCP is doing this to the people in Xinjiang?”
X replied: “Yes.”
We then asked X: “Did you observe any more infections after [Y] went there?”
And after [Y] went there, during the summertime, you know, it’s becoming hot after May, right? So during the summertime, from May to June, there was suddenly an increasing amount of infected cases in Xinjiang, which I do not think is a coincidence.
X replied: “Yes, exactly, during the pandemic, during the outbreak, during the outbreak in Wuhan, it was, the end of January till the beginning of April, there were many places like Wuhan in other provinces across China getting infections, getting infected cases, different patients. Only two provinces had the least infection cases, only like one or two. The first one is Tibet, the second one is Xinjiang. They almost had no cases, and we all know that those are not very populated areas in Xinjiang and Tibet. That’s probably why.
“And after [Y] went there, during the summertime, you know, it’s becoming hot after May, right? So during the summertime, from May to June, there was suddenly an increasing amount of infected cases in Xinjiang, which I do not think is a coincidence.”
We asked X: “What did you think or feel when [Y] told you this?”
X replied: “I thought that [Y] would not tell me anything that is, that [Y] would not tell me anything without any purpose. What [Y] said about why [Y] was in Xinjiang was that [Y] was sent for health inspecting in Xinjiang, so [Y] must have had some underlying meaning, [Y] must have wanted to hit me up with something.
“This is what I guess. Once I had that hypothesis in mind, I really feel disgusted. That’s how I feel. And [Y] told me to tell people about [Y], about all the things [Y] told me, if we ever lost contact. It feels like [Y’s] last words, hope not.”
Endgame: CCP Conquers Planet Earth
Y’s radio silence has been deeply troubling for X. According to X, X now knows what Y claims to know about the origins of a pandemic which has killed and sickened hundreds of millions worldwide. According to X, Y helped engineer SARS-CoV-2. X seems to have been weighed upon very heavily by this burden of knowledge.
Since [Y] didn’t contact me from last year, April, I think it’s probably time for me to pull this up to the public for people to know that the origin of the virus that shut down the global economy is made by a specific government, that the responsibility lies with a specific group of people. I want people to realize it.
X says: “Since [Y] didn’t contact me from last year, April, I think it’s probably time for me to pull this up to the public for people to know that the origin of the virus that shut down the global economy is made by a specific government, that the responsibility lies with a specific group of people. I want people to realize it.”
We asked X: “If the United States government or any government in the world wanted to go ahead with further investigations into the origin of the pandemic coronavirus, what do you think they should do? How could someone collect information and confirm what you have said?”
X replied: “Well, I would say the first thing is to take a good look at the sequence, the RNA sequence of the virus, and try to figure out—there are some artificial prints of genetic engineering on that thing. It was explained by Dr. Yan [Limeng]’s report. People should focus on that first and then try to dig up people who have links with the Wuhan Institute of Virology, and the people around [Y], and others who have already been dug out for their relationship to the virus one way or another. One jigsaw puzzle piece at a time and hopefully we’re going to put the big picture together.”
We asked X to clarify more about his claims about the responsibility of “a specific group of people” for the coronavirus pandemic.
X replied: “I read a book. The book is from the Chinese military medical school. It is a virology textbook stating that viral strains that can infect many species are pretty convenient as a weapon, because it can bounce, which means transmission from human to wildlife and wildlife in between, and then to humans again, to infect people repeatedly, which is what we can see now with COVID19. Such a virus can infect many intermediate hosts, and then jump back to humans, and after several generations, probably one or two years, you will not be able to tell which strain originally came from where. The Chinese military medical school textbook says that this will help them to hide their guilt.”
From the result I see now, I prefer to call it biological terrorism, not war.
We pressed X: “Do you really believe that the COVID-19 pandemic could be biological warfare started by the Chinese Communist Party?”
X replied: “From the result I see now, I prefer to call it biological terrorism, not war.”
We asked X: “But you think it is definitely a man-made pandemic?”
X replied: “Yes. According to [Y], the virus is artificial, engineered in a lab, sent to [Y], who then did some transmissibility experiments and selected one of the viruses for release.”
We asked X: “Do you think the Chinese Communist Party purposely released SARS-CoV-2 in 2019 during the Wuhan Military Games? Is that how the virus infected all the people in Wuhan? China also suffered so much because of the virus, so what did the CCP really achieve, assuming the purpose was terrorism?”
X replied: “So, let’s think about terrorism. Terrorism is trying to kill or damage someone, or some organization, or some nation with a price. The price can be money, can be life, like suicide bombers, right? And those people who died in Wuhan are more likely to be considered as those who were suicide bombers. They were sacrificed for a so-called great purpose.”
We asked X: “What is the great purpose? What is the purpose the CCP wishes to advance if they are the ones doing this?”
X replied: “Most people in the Western world have never heard this, but their ultimate goal, the CCP’s ultimate goal is actually to rule the world with communism. But when the CCP says ‘communism,’ it isn’t actually communism, it is just like a kingdom, an empire where everyone works under a dictator. That’s all.”
We asked X a final question: “So, the Chinese Communist Party wants to start the coronavirus pandemic and then to rule the world by themselves?”
X replied: “Yes.”
