EVANGELIUM E OMELIA\HOMILY:
Matt 13:54-58
Gospel
Matt 13:54-58
At that time: Jesus coming into His country, He taught them in their synagogues, so that they wondered and said: How came this Man by this wisdom and miracles? Is not this the carpenter’s Son? Is not His mother called Mary, and His brethren James, and Joseph, and Simon, and Jude: and His sisters, are they not all with us? Whence therefore hath He all these things? And they were scandalized in His regard. But Jesus said to them: A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. And He wrought not many miracles there, because of their unbelief.
DALL’OMELIA (FROM THE HOMILY) – MERCOLEDI 1 MAGGIO 2024 ORE 18.00

FROM THE HOMILY BY DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
From the letter of Saint Paul the Apostle to the Colossians.
Col. 3:14-15, 17, 23-24
Brothers, have charity, which is the bond of perfection. May the peace of Christ, to which you were called in the unity of one body, triumph in your hearts: and live in thanksgiving!
From the Gospel according to St. Matthew.
At that time, Jesus arrived in his country and taught them in the synagogue, so that in amazement they asked themselves: «Where do he get this wisdom and miracles? Isn’t this the carpenter’s son?
Today begins the month of May. Let us pray with Mary with the help of Saint Joseph her husband. Joseph is a carpenter and teaches the same trade to Jesus. Thus the Church teaches us the necessity of work. The feast of May 1st was established by Pius XII in 1955. Work is a way to make amends for our sins and for the good of others. Work makes us humble and we do it as thanks to God (but not to men).
Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised!
