Luc 14:26-33.
In illo témpore: Dixit Iesus turbis: Si quis venit ad me, et non odit patrem suum, et matrem, et uxórem, et fílios, et fratres, et soróres, adhuc autem et ánimam suam, non potest meus esse discípulus. Et qui non báiulat crucem suam, et venit post me, non potest meus esse discípulus. Quis enim ex vobis volens turrim ædificáre, non prius sedens cómputat sumptus, qui necessárii sunt, si hábeat ad perficiéndum; ne, posteáquam posúerit fundaméntum, et non potúerit perfícere, omnes, qui vident, incípiant illúdere ei, dicéntes: Quia hic homo cœpit ædificáre, et non pótuit consummáre? Aut quis rex itúrus commíttere bellum advérsus álium regem, non sedens prius cogitat, si possit cum decem mílibus occúrrere ei, qui cum vigínti mílibus venit ad se? Alióquin, adhuc illo longe agénte, legatiónem mittens, rogat ea, quæ pacis sunt. Sic ergo omnis ex vobis, qui non renúntiat ómnibus, quæ póssidet, non potest meus esse discípulus.

Luke 14:26-33.
In that time, Jesus said to the people: If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. And whosoever doth not carry his cross and come after me, cannot be my disciple. For which of you having a mind to build a tower, doth not first sit down, and reckon the charges that are necessary, whether he have wherewithal to finish it: Lest, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that see it begin to mock him, Saying: This man began to build, and was not able to finish. Or what king, about to go to make war against another king, doth not first sit down, and think whether he be able, with ten thousand, to meet him that, with twenty thousand, cometh against him? Or else, whilst the other is yet afar off, sending an embassy, he desireth conditions of peace. So likewise every one of you that doth not renounce all that he possesseth, cannot be my disciple.

Dal libro della Sapienza.
I giusti terranno alta la testa dinanzi a coloro che li oppressero e rapirono le loro fatiche. E questi a tal vista saranno agitati da orribile spavento e resteranno sorpresi di così inaspettata e repentina salvezza.
Dal Vangelo di San Luca.
In quel tempo disse Gesù alle turbe: «Se uno viene a me senza disamare suo padre e sua madre, moglie e figli, fratelli e sorelle, e perfino la sua vita, non può essere mio discepolo. E chi non porta la sua croce e mi segue non può essere mio discepolo. Cosi pertanto chi di voi non rinuncia a tutto quello che possiede, non può essere mio discepolo».
Il Vangelo ci ricorda quali sono le premesse per la sequela di Gesu’. Gesu’ deve essere alprimo posto. Cosi fece Sant’Ermenegildo vissuto in Spagne nel VI secolo e di stirpe Visigota. I Visigoti erano ariani (Gesu’ non era Dio per loro). Ma Ermenegildo di converti al cattolicesimo. La notte di Pasqua rifiuto’ la comunione ariana. Per questo venne condannato a morte dal padre.
Si tratta di un evento quotidiano. Anche noi viviamo la falsa chiesa. Non ci sono vescovi e cardinali che facciano chiarezza sui dogmi della fede. Nella falsa chiesa si va verso l’apostasia. Non si deve fare la comunione in quelle chiese. Noi non possiamo avere a che fare con gli eretici. Perche’ diventa un tradimento della nostra fede. L’esempio di Sant’Ermenegildo ci sia di insegnamento!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

From the book of Wisdom.
The righteous will hold their heads high before those who oppressed them and stole their labors. And at this sight they will be shaken by horrible fear and will be surprised by such an unexpected and sudden salvation.
From the Gospel of Saint Luke.
At that time Jesus said to the crowds: «If anyone comes to me without disheartening his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, and even his life, he cannot be my disciple. And whoever does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple. So therefore whoever among you does not renounce all that he possesses cannot be my disciple.”
The Gospel reminds us of the prerequisites for following Jesus. Jesus must come first. This is what Saint Hermenegildo did, who lived in Spain in the 6th century and was of Visigothic lineage. The Visigoths were Arians (Jesus was not God for them). But Ermenegildo converted to Catholicism. On Easter night he refused Arian communion. For this he was condemned to death by his father.
This is a daily occurrence. We too live the false church. There are no bishops and cardinals who clarify the dogmas of the faith. In the false church we move towards apostasy. Communion should not be taken in those churches. We cannot deal with heretics. Because it becomes a betrayal of our faith. May the example of Saint Ermenegildo be a lesson to us!
