Luc 1:26-38
In illo témpore: Missus est Angelus Gábriel a Deo in civitátem Galilǽæ, cui nomen Názareth, ad Vírginem desponsátam viro, cui nomen erat Ioseph, de domo David, et nomen Vírginis María. Et ingréssus Angelus ad eam, dixit: Ave, grátia plena; Dóminus tecum: benedícta tu in muliéribus. Quæ cum audísset, turbáta est in sermóne eius: et cogitábat, qualis esset ista salutátio. Et ait Angelus ei: Ne tímeas, María, invenísti enim grátiam apud Deum: ecce, concípies in útero et páries fílium, et vocábis nomen eius Iesum. Hic erit magnus, et Fílius Altíssimi vocábitur, et dabit illi Dóminus Deus sedem David, patris eius: et regnábit in domo Iacob in ætérnum, et regni eius non erit finis. Lettura del libro di Isaia.
Is 7:10-15.
In quei giorni: Così parlò il Signore ad Achaz: Ecco che la vergine concepirà e partorirà un figlio, il cui nome sarà Emmanuel. Egli mangerà burro e miele, affinché sappia rigettare il male ed eleggere il bene.
Dal Vangelo secondo S. Luca.
In quel tempo: L’Angelo Gabriele fu mandato da Dio in una città della Galilea, chiamata Nazaret, ad una Vergine sposata con un uomo della stirpe di Davide che si chiamava Giuseppe, e il nome della Vergine era Maria. Ed entrato da lei, l’Angelo disse: Ave, piena di grazia: il Signore è con te: benedetta tu tra le donne.
Celebriamo oggi l’Annunciazione di Maria. Ma e’ soprattutto festa del Signore perche’ ha inizio oggi la sua incarnazione. Maria e’ corredentrice perche accetta anche di caricarsi delle colpe degli uomini che Gesu’ e’ venuto a salvare.
Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

In those days: Thus spoke the Lord to Ahaz: Behold, the virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, whose name will be Emmanuel. He will eat butter and honey, so that he will know how to reject evil and choose good.
From the Gospel according to St. Luke.
At that time: The Angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee called Nazareth, to a Virgin married to a man of the lineage of David whose name was Joseph, and the name of the Virgin was Mary. And having entered her, the Angel said: Hail, full of grace: the Lord is with you: blessed are you among women.
Today we celebrate the Annunciation of Mary. But above all it is the feast of the Lord because his incarnation begins today. Mary is a co-redemptrix because she also accepts to take on the sins of the men that Jesus came to save.
