Only a Short Time. God’s hedge of protection around Job. Job 1:1 – blameless and upright. Job 1:8 – God’s permission and direction. Job 1:9-11 – Satan’s challenge. Satan admits to trying to get to Job. Satan also admits that God has a hedge.

EVANGELIUM E OMELIA\HOMILY:
Ioann 7:32-39
Gospel
John 7:32-39
At that time, the rulers and Pharisees sent attendants to seize Jesus. Jesus then said, Yet a little while I am with you, and then I go to Him Who sent Me. You will seek Me and will not find Me; and where I am you cannot come. The Jews therefore said among themselves, Where is He going that we shall not find Him? Will He go to those dispersed among the Gentiles , and teach the Gentiles? What is this statement that He has made, ‘You will seek Me and will not find Me, and where I am you cannot come’? Now on the last, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, If anyone thirst, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture says, ‘From within him there shall flow rivers of living waters.’ He said this, however, of the Spirit Whom they who believed in Him were to receive.
DALL’OMELIA DI (FROM THE HOMILY BY) DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA – LUNEDI 18 MARZO 2024 ORE 18.00:

FROM THE HOMILY BY DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
From the book of the prophet Jonah.
The Lord spoke to Jonah a second time and said to him: “Arise, go to Nineveh, the great city, and preach to you what I tell you.” Jonah moved and went to Nineveh, according to the Lord’s command. Now Nineveh was a large city, taking three days to go around. Jonah began to enter the city, and walking for a day he began to shout: “Forty more days, and Nineveh will be destroyed.” The Ninevites believed God, and ordered fasting, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest to the least.
From the Gospel according to St. John.
At that time the princes and the Pharisees sent guards to arrest Jesus [NDR by now the plot by the Pharisees to kill Jesus has been put into action and the guards have been unleashed in search of him]. Then Jesus said to them: «For a little while longer I am among you; then I go to the one who sent me. You will look for me and you will not find me; and where I am you cannot come.” Then on the last day, which is the most solemn of the feast, Jesus, standing upright, said in a loud voice: «Whoever is thirsty, come to me and drink. From the breasts of those who believe in me, as the Scripture says, rivers of living water will flow.” He said this about the Spirit that believers in him were to receive. But Jesus warns the Pharisee princes that they will not find him. The Lord promises the water that gives eternal life that the Lord will bestow on his believers. It is the Holy Spirit that Jesus will send! The inhabitants of Nineveh instead ask God for forgiveness even if they were not part of the chosen people!
Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised!
