DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
Dalla lettera di San Paolo ai Romani. Con un sol cuore fatevi buona accoglienza vicendevolmente! Affinche i pagani glorifichino Dio! E verra’ colui che governera’ i pagani!
A quel tempo Giovanni, nel carcere, sentíte le opere del Cristo, mandò a lui due suoi discepoli a chiedergli: Sei tu quello che deve venire o attenderemo un altro? E Gesú rispose loro: Andate e riferite a Giovanni ciò che avete udito e visto: I ciechi vedono, gli zoppi camminano, i lebbrosi sono mondati, i sordi odono, i morti resuscitano, i poveri sono evangelizzati: ed è beato chi non si scandalizzerà di me.
Gesu’ parla quindi di Giovanni al popolo. Piu’ che un profeta, un messaggero davanti a Gesu’ per preparargli la strada. Ma alla fine della sua vita Giovanni e’ ora in prigione e chiede la conferma della presenza del Messia..
Noi sappiamo che Gesu’ e’ sempre presente nel SS. Sacramento come alla destra di Dio. Ma e’ anche presente nella Chiesa malata che ci circonda. Inoltre verra’ sicuramente al termine della nostra vita.
Occorre tuttavia tenere presente le profezie. Ci possono istruire utilmente. Per affrontare le battaglie spirituali con la presenza di Gesu’ Cristo! Ma occorre da parte nostra pazienza e attenzione, proprio per riconoscere Gesu’ attorno a noi. Ne riconosciamo la presenza!
Come Giovanni che l’ha riconosciuta prima della sua morte. Mettiamo quindi ordine nelle nostre cose. Ci deve essere un ordine: prima viene Dio e la preghiera verso di lui!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

Jesus then speaks about John to the people. More than a prophet, a messenger before Jesus to prepare the way for him.
