LECTIO, EVANGELIUM ET HOMILIA\ LECTURE, GOSPEL AND HOMILY:
1 Cor 15:51-57
1 Cor. 15:51-57
Brethren: Behold, I tell you a mystery: we shall all indeed rise, but we shall not all be changed – in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall rise incorruptible and we shall be changed. For this corruptible body must put on incorruption, and this mortal body must put on immortality. But when this mortal body put on immortality, then shall come to pass the word that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory! O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? Now the sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the Law. But thanks be to God Who has given us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
John 5:25-29
At that time, Jesus said to the multitudes of the Jews, Amen, amen, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is here, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear shall live. For as the Father has life in Himself, even so He has given to the Son also to have life in Himself; and He has granted Him power to render judgment, because He is Son of Man. Do not wonder at this, for the hour is coming in which all who are in the tombs shall hear the voice of the Son of God. And they who have done good shall come forth unto resurrection of life; but they who have done evil unto resurrection of judgment.
DALL’OMELIA DI (FROM THE HOMILY BY) DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA – DI GIOVEDI 2 NOVEMBRE 2023 ORE 8.30, 10.30 E 17.30:
Solvet sæclum in favílla:

Vedasi testo online: https://www.revelationvirgo.org/2023/10/08/comunione-spirituale-2/
FROM THE HOMILY BY DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
The first reading is taken from St. Paul’s letter to the Corinthians. When we rise again then it will be what is written: Death has been absorbed by victory. Thank God for the victory given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ.
Dies iræ, dies illa
Solvet sæclum in favílla:
Teste David cum Sibýlla.
In the Gospel (according to John) Jesus tells us: the hour is coming, and it is now, in which the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God: and whoever hears it will live, those who did good for a resurrection of life: those who did evil for a resurrection of condemnation. On this day the Church prays for all the deceased. Our deceased in Purgatory await our prayers to be able to reach Heaven. We must always pray to our deceased so that our prayer comforts and helps them.
Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised!

(2) The Spiritual Communion to be recited privately at any time of the day as long as it is free of sin (let it be preceded by an act of sorrow and a Pater, Ave, Gloria). See online text: https://www.revelationvirgo.org/2023/10/08/comunione-spirituale-2/
