Ioann 11:47-54
In illo témpore: Collegérunt pontífices et pharisǽi concílium advérsus Iesum, et dicébant: Quid fácimus, quia hic homo multa signa facit? Si dimíttimus eum sic, omnes credent in eum: et vénient Románi, et tollent nostrum locum et gentem. Unus autem ex ipsis, Cáiphas nómine, cum esset póntifex anni illíus, dixit eis: Vos nescítis quidquam, nec cogitátis, quia éxpedit vobis, ut unus moriátur homo pro pópulo, et non tota gens péreat. Hoc autem a semetípso non dixit: sed cum esset póntifex anni illíus, prophetávit, quod Iesus moritúrus erat pro gente, et non tantum pro gente, sed ut fílios Dei, qui erant dispérsi, congregáret in unum. At that time, the chief priests and Pharisees gathered together a council against Jesus, and said, What are we doing? for this man is working many signs. If we let Him alone as He is, all will believe in Him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation. But one of them, Caiphas, being high priest that year, said to them, You know nothing at all; nor do you reflect that it is expedient for us that one man die for the people, instead of the whole nation perishing. This, however, he said not of himself; but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus was to die for the nation; and not only for the nation, but that He might gather into one the children of God who were scattered abroad. So from that day forth their plan was to put Him to death. Jesus therefore no longer went about openly among the Jews, but withdrew to the district near the desert, to a town called Ephrem; and there He stayed with His disciples.

Jer 17:13-18
In quei giorni Geremia disse: «Signore, tutti quelli che ti abbandonano saranno confusi, quelli che si allontanano da te saranno scritti nella polvere; perché hanno abbandonato la sorgente d’acqua viva, il Signore. Guariscimi, Signore, e sarò guarito; salvami, e sarò salvato; la mia gloria sei Tu. Ecco che i persecutori mi dicono: “Dov’è la parola del Signore? S’adempia!”. Ma io non mi sono turbato seguendo Te, mio pastore, e Tu sai che non ho cercato il giudizio dell’uomo: quello che uscì dal mio labbro fu retto al tuo cospetto. Non mi diventare causa di spavento Tu, mia speranza nel giorno dell’afflizione. Siano confusi i miei persecutori e non io, tremino essi e non io; abbatti su di loro il giorno del dolore, percuotili con doppio flagello, o Signore Dio nostro!».

In quel tempo si radunarono i principi dei sacerdoti ed i Farisei in consiglio e dicevano: «Che facciamo? Quest’uomo fa molti miracoli. Se lo lasciamo fare, tutti crederanno in lui e verranno i Romani e stermineranno il nostro paese e la nazione». Allora uno di loro, chiamato Càifa, che era in quell’anno pontefice, disse loro: «Voi non capite nulla, e non pensate come vi torni conto che un uomo solo muoia per il popolo, e non perisca tutta la nazione». E questo non lo disse di suo, ma essendo pontefice in quell’anno, profetò che Gesù doveva morire per la nazione, e non per la nazione soltanto, ma anche per raccogliere insieme i dispersi figli di Dio. E, da quel giorno, proposero di dargli morte. Gesù adunque non conversava più in pubblico con i Giudei, ma si ritirò in una regione, vicino al deserto, in una città chiamata Efrem, dove soleva stare coi suoi discepoli.
Ci troviamo ad usa settimana dal Venerdi Santo, celebrazione della morte del Signore. Nel Vetus Ordo, celebriamo i dolori della Vergine Santissima. Quindi al suo nome spetta il titolo di Corredentrice.
NelVangelo il sommo sacerdote Caifa profetizza che “e’ bene che muoia un solo uomo per il bene di tutta la nazione dei figli di Dio”, Quindi profetizza l’avvento del Regno di Dio grazie alla morte di Gesu’ Cristo.
Stiamo anche noi vivendo la sofferenza in questi giorni:, sofferenza che offriamo – per intercesxione della SS BVM – in sacrificio a Gesu’ Cristo.
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

Jer 17:13-18
In those days, Jeremia said: O Lord, all who forsake You shall be in disgrace; the rebels in the land shall be put to shame; they have forsaken the source of living waters, the Lord. Heal me, Lord, that I may be healed; save me, that I may be saved, for it is You whom I praise. See how they say to me, ‘Where is the word of the Lord? Let it come to pass!’ Yet I am not troubled, following You as my shepherd; the day without remedy I have not desired. You know what passed my lips; it is present before You. Do not be my ruin, You, my refuge in the day of misfortune. Let my persecutors, not me, be confounded; let them, not me, be broken. Bring upon them the day of misfortune, crush them with repeated destruction, O Lord, our God.

We are at the week from Good Friday, celebration of the Lord’s death. In the Vetus Ordo, we celebrate the pains of the Blessed Virgin. Therefore the title of Coredemptrix belongs to her name.
In the Gospel the high priest Caiaphas prophesies that “it is good that only one man should die for the good of the whole nation of the children of God”, Then he prophesies the advent of the Kingdom of God thanks to the death of Jesus Christ.
We too are experiencing suffering in these days: suffering that we offer – through the intercession of the Most Holy BVM – in sacrifice to Jesus Christ.
