EVANGELIUM E OMELIA\HOMILY:
Ioann 8:1-11
Tu ergo quid dicis?
Gospel
John 8:1-11
At that time, Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. And at daybreak He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and sitting down He began to teach them. Now the Scribes and Pharisees brought a woman caught in adultery, and setting her in the midst, said to Him, Master, this woman has just now been caught in adultery. And in the Law Moses commanded us to stone such persons. What, therefore, do You say? Now they were saying this to test Him, in order that they might be able to accuse Him. But Jesus, stooping down, began to write with His finger on the ground. But when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself and said to them, Let him who is without sin among you be the first to cast a stone at her. And again stooping down, He began to write on the ground. But hearing this, they went away, one by one, beginning with the eldest. And Jesus remained alone, with the woman standing in the midst. And Jesus, raising Himself, said to her, Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you? She said, No one, Lord. Then Jesus said, Neither will I condemn you. Go your way, and from now on sin no more.
DALL’OMELIA DI (FROM THE HOMILY BY) DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA – SABATO 18 MARZO 2023 ORE 18.00:

DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
Dan 9:15-17, 19-30, 33-62

FROM THE HOMILY BY DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
Dan 9:15-17, 19-30, 33-62 In those days a man named Joachim lived in Babylon. He had married a woman named Susanna, daughter of Elcia, beautiful and God-fearing, having her parents, who were righteous, educated their daughter according to the law of Moses. Ioachim was very rich; He had a garden next to his house, and Jews came to him in large numbers, because he was the most respected of them all.
John 8:1-11 At that time Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. But at daybreak he returned again to the temple, and all the people ran to him and he sat down and taught them. Then the scribes and the Pharisees brought him a woman caught in adultery and, placing her in the midst, they said to him: «Master, this woman was caught in flagrant adultery. Now Moses in the law commanded us to stone such women; and what do you think?». And they said this to put him to the test and to be able to accuse him. But Jesus, bending over, began to write on the ground with his finger. And as they continued to question him, he stood up and said to them: «Let whoever of you is without sin cast the first stone at her».
These readings have been matched because there are commonalities. There are two vhr trials involving two women, Susanna and the adulteress. The epistle talks about how a righteous man behaves. The figure of Susanna is that of Jesus on the cross: she entrusts herself completely to God. Even the woman of the Gospel finds Jesus. In fact, Jesus came to bring justice but also to forgive. The false church instead propagates the wide road, that of indulgence without repentance. But instead Jesus always saves us from all suffering!
Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised!
