DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
Act 1, 15-26.
In quei giorni, alzatosi Pietro in mezzo ai fratelli in numero di circa centoventi persone disse: «Fratelli, è necessario che si adempia quanto predisse lo Spirito Santo nella Scrittura per bocca di David, riguardo a Giuda, il quale fu di guida a coloro che catturarono Gesù. Egli era uno dei nostri ed era stato ammesso a partecipare del nostro ministero. Ma con la mercede dell’iniquità comperò un campo, ed impiccatosi. crepò nel mezzo, e si sparsero tutte le sue viscere. E la cosa si è risaputa da tutti gli abitanti di Gerusalemme, sicché nel loro linguaggio quel campo è stato chiamato Acéldama cioè campo del sangue.
Matt 11:25-30.
In quel tempo, Gesù prese a dire: «Ti glorifico, Padre, Signore del cielo e della terra, perché hai nascosto queste cose ai saggi e agli scaltri, e le hai rivelate ai piccoli. Sì, Padre, perché questo è stato il beneplacito davanti a te. Ogni cosa mi è stata data dal Padre mio, e nessuno conosce il Figlio se non il Padre, come nessuno conosce il Padre se non il Figlio, e colui al quale il Figlio vorrà rivelarlo. Venite a me, voi tutti che siete affaticati ed oppressi, e io vi darà riposo. Prendete su di voi il mio giogo, e imparate da me che sono mite ed umile di cuore; e troverete riposo per le vostre anime, perché il mio giogo è soave, e il mio peso è leggero».
Oggi celebriamo la festa dell’apostolo Mattia, al posto del traditore Giuda.
Gesu’ nel Vangelo ringrazia Dio Padre per aver scelto i piccoli e gli umili. E’ stato scelto Mattia, il piu’ umile dei due candidati. Dio e’ imprevedibile!
Gesu’ chiama a se tutti coloro che sono affaticati ed oppressi. Dice; occorre imparare da lui stesso, il suo gioco e’ leggero! Occorre dunque scegliere la via stretta di Gesu’ per garantirci il paradiso!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

Acts 1, 15-26. In those days, Peter stood up in the midst of his brethren, numbering about one hundred and twenty, and said: “Brothers, it is necessary that what the Holy Spirit foretold in Scripture through the mouth of David concerning Judas, who was a guide to those who they captured Jesus. He was one of ours and had been admitted to share in our ministry. But with the reward of iniquity he bought a field and hanged himself. it cracked in the middle, and all its entrails spilled out. And the thing was known by all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that in their language that field was called Acéldama that is field of blood.
Matt 11:25-30. At that time, Jesus began to say: «I glorify you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and crafty, and revealed them to little ones. Yes, Father, because this was the good pleasure before you. All things have been given to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, just as no one knows the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him. Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me that I am meek and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls, for my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Today we celebrate the feast of the apostle Matthias, instead of the traitor Judas. In the Gospel, Jesus thanks God the Father for having chosen the little ones and the humble. Mattia was chosen, the more humble of the two candidates. God is unpredictable! Jesus calls to himself all those who are weary and oppressed. He says, We need to learn from Jesus: his game is light! It is therefore necessary to choose the narrow path of Jesus to guarantee us paradise!
