DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
Phil 1:6-11
E questo io domando: che la vostra carità abbondi sempre piú in cognizione e in ogni discernimento, affinché distinguiate il meglio e siate puri ed irreprensibili per il giorno di Cristo, ricolmi dei frutti della giustizia che viene da Gesú Cristo, a lode e gloria di Dio.
Matt 22:15-21
In quel tempo: Adunatisi, i Farisei tennero consiglio per sorprendere Gesú nel suo parlare. Gli mandarono i loro discepoli con gli Erodiani a dirgli: Maestro, sappiamo che sei veritiero e insegni la via di Dio secondo la verità, e non hai riguardo per alcuno, poiché non guardi alla persona degli uomini: dicci il tuo parere: è lecito o no pagare il tributo a Cesare? Ma Gesú, conoscendo la loro malizia, rispose: Ipocriti, perché mi tentate?
Siamo nelle ultime domeniche che precedono la fine dell’anno liturgico. Il Vangelo ci parla del ritorno del Signore. Mentre Gesu’ ascendeva al cielo gli angeli confermavano agli apostoli il ritorno del Signore, Signore dell’Universo e della storia. Appariranno i servi del Signore e quelli di satana.
Nel Vangelo di oggi ci sono i malvagi (farisei) che tentano di prendere in fallo Gesu’. Israele e’ vassallo di Roma, ma il popolo di Israele (anche i farisei) aspetta il regno di Israele!
La Palestina era diventata una colonia e loro non lo sopportavano! Non volevano onorare l’immagine (sulla moneta) dell’imperatore romano. Mandano quindi da Gesu’ anche gli erodiani (pro-romani). Ma il Signore risponde con saggezza e astuzia. Anche noi dobbiamo essere astuti!
Ci sono quelli che ci affrontano con una domanda e utilizzano poi la nostra risposta per attaccarci. Occorre essere puri e semplici di cuore (e non doppi!).
Il Signore e’ la sapienza incarnata! Fatemi vedere la moneta romana e chiede: di chi e’ l’immagine sulla moneta?
I padri della Chiesa affermano che la moneta e’ la nostra anima su cui c’e’ l’immagine di Dio! C’e’ la memoria di Dio nella nostra anima! Quindi dobbiamo seguire Dio e solo Lui!
Importante e’ camminare per raggiungere la meta che e’ Dio stesso!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

Phil 1: 6-11 And this I ask: may your charity abound more and more in knowledge and in every discernment, so that you can distinguish the best and be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruits of justice that comes from Jesus Christ, to the praise and glory of God.
Matt 22: 15-21 At that time: Gathering, the Pharisees held council to surprise Jesus in his speech. They sent their disciples with the Herodians to tell him: Master, we know that you are truthful and teach the way of God according to the truth, and you have no regard for anyone, since you do not look at the person of men: tell us your opinion: it is lawful or not pay the tax to Caesar? But Jesus, knowing their malice, replied: You hypocrites, why are you tempting me? We are in the last Sundays preceding the end of the liturgical year.
The Gospel tells us about the Lord’s return. As Jesus ascended to heaven, the angels confirmed to the apostles the return of the Lord, Lord of the Universe and of history.
The servants of the Lord and those of satan will appear. In today’s Gospel there are the wicked (Pharisees) who try to outsmart Jesus. Israel is a vassal of Rome, but the people of Israel (including the Pharisees) await the kingdom of Israel! Palestine had become a colony and they couldn’t stand it! They did not want to honor the image (on the coin) of the Roman emperor.
They also send the Herodians (pro-Romans) to Jesus. But the Lord responds with wisdom and cunning. We too must be smart!
There are those who confront us with a question and then use our answer to attack us. It is necessary to be pure and simple of heart (and not double!). The Lord is wisdom incarnate! Show me the Roman coin and ask: whose image is it on the coin?
The fathers of the Church affirm that the coin is our soul on which there is the image of God! There is the memory of God in our soul!
So we must follow God and only Him! It is important to walk to reach the goal that is God himself!
Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised!
