In illo témpore: Accessérunt discípuli ad Iesum, dicéntes: Quis, putas, maior est in regno cœlórum? Et ádvocans Iesus parvulum, statuit eum in médio eórum et dixit: Amen, dico vobis, nisi convérsi fuéritis et efficiámini sicut párvuli, non intrábitis in regnum cælorum. Quicúmque ergo humiliáverit se sicut párvulus iste, hic est maior in regno cœlórum. Et qui suscéperit unum párvulum talem in nómine meo, me súscipit. Qui autem scandalizáverit unum de pusíllis istis, qui in me credunt, expédit ei, ut suspendátur mola asinária in collo eius, et demergátur in profúndum maris. Væ mundo a scándalis! Necésse est enim, ut véniant scándala: verúmtamen væ hómini illi, per quem scándalum venit! At that time, the disciples came to Jesus, saying, Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven? And Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in their midst, and said, Amen I say to you, unless you turn and become like little children, you will not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whoever, therefore, humbles himself as this little child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever receives one such little child for My sake, receives Me. But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it were better for him to have a great millstone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. Woe to the world because of scandals! For it must needs be that scandals come, but woe to the man through whom scandal does come! And if your hand or your foot is an occasion of sin to you, cut it off and cast it from you! It is better for you to enter life maimed or lame, than, having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the everlasting fire. And if your eye is an occasion of sin to you, pluck it out and cast it from you! It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, than, having two eyes, to be cast into hell-fire. Apoc 1:1-5
In quel tempo: Dio rivelò le cose che presto debbono accadere, inviando per mezzo del suo Angelo il messaggio al suo servo Giovanni, il quale attesta che tutto quello che vide è parola di Dio e testimonianza di Gesú Cristo.
Matth 18:1-10
In quel tempo: Si presentarono a Gesú i discepoli e gli dissero: Chi ritieni tu il piú grande nel regno dei cieli? E Gesú, chiamato a sé un fanciullo, lo pose in mezzo ad essi e rispose: In verità vi dico che, se non vi convertirete e non diverrete come fanciulli, non entrerete nel regno dei cieli.
Oggi celebriamo la festa di San Michele il capo delle milizie celesti. Si tratta di uan festa molto antica (VI secolo). Per noi S. Michele e’ molto importrante. E’ infatti preposto da Dio a protezione dei cristiani.
Dobbiamo evitare di scandalizzare le persone piu’ fragili e i bambini in particolare! Satana e’ ribelle a causa della sua superbia! Dobbiamo quindi essere invece umili come gli angeli!
Il nome Michele significa “chi e’ come Dio”: ricorda con il suo nome che nessuno puo’ mettersi contro Dio!
Che ci protegga e ci difenda contro il maligno!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

Rev 1: 1-5 At that time: God revealed the things that soon must happen, sending through his Angel the message to his servant John, who attests that all he saw is the word of God and testimony of Jesus Christ.
Matth 18: 1-10 At that time: The disciples came to Jesus and said to him, Who do you think is greatest in the kingdom of heaven? And Jesus, calling a child to himself, placed him in the midst of them and answered, Amen, I tell you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.
Today we celebrate the feast of St. Michael the leader of the celestial militias. It is a very old festival (6th century).
For us S. Michele is very important.
He is in fact appointed by God to protect Christians.
We must avoid scandalizing the most fragile people and children in particular! Satan is rebellious because of his pride!
We must therefore be humble like angels instead!
The name Michael means “who is like God”: remember with his name that no one can go against God! May he protect us and defend us against the evil one!
Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised!
