At that time, Jesus said to the multitudes of the Jews, Now is the judgment of the world; now will the prince of the world be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all things to Myself. Now he said this signifying by what death He was to die. The crowd answered Him, We have heard from the Law that the Christ abides forever. And how can You say, ‘The son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this Son of Man? Jesus therefore said to them, Yet a little while the light is among you. Walk while you have the light, that darkness may not overtake you. He who walks in the darkness does not know where he goes. While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light.

Philipp 2:5-11
Fratelli: Abbiate gli stessi sentimenti che ebbe Gesù Cristo: il quale, essendo nella forma di Dio, non considerò questa sua uguaglianza a Dio come una rapina: ma annichilí sé stesso prendendo la forma di servo e, fatto simile agli uomini, apparve come semplice uomo.

In quel tempo: Gesú disse alle turbe dei Giudei: Ora si compie la condanna di questo mondo: ora il principe di questo mondo sarà per essere cacciato via. E io, quando sarò innalzato da terra, trarrò tutti a me. Ciò diceva per significare di qualmorte sarebbe morto. Gli rispose la turba: Abbiamo appreso dalla legge che il Cristo vive in eterno: come dici allora che il Figlio dell’uomo sarà innalzato? Chi è questo Figlio dell’uomo? Disse allora Gesù ad essi: Ancora un poco è con voi la luce. Camminate mentre avete lume, affinché non vi sorprendano le ténebre: e chi cammina nelle tenebre non sa dove vada. Finché avete la luce, credete nella luce, per essere figli della luce.
Oggi e’ la festa della esaltazione della Santa Croce. Sant’Elena la ritrovo nel IV secolo. Da cio’ deriva la festivita’ odierna.
Dio Padre ha resuscitato il Figlio e l’ha esaltato. E’ il suo sacrificio in croce la sua vittoria! L’umita’ e la sofferenza di Gesu’ hanno salvato il mondo! La croce del Signore attrae tutti gli uomini perche’ e’ un segno di grande speranza. Quindi la croce e’ anche il segno e lo strumento della conversione!
Non esiste quindi il cristiano senza la croce! Tutti i cristiani devono accettarla! La croce e’ la sola via della salvezza.
Anche noi dobbiamo collaborare sull’esempio di Maria Santissima pere la salvezza di questo mondo!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

Today is the feast of the exaltation of the Holy Cross. I find Sant’Elena in the fourth century. From this derives today’s holiday. God the Father resurrected the Son and exalted him.
His sacrifice on the cross is his victory! The humility and suffering of Jesus saved the world! The cross of the Lord attracts all men because it is a sign of great hope. So the cross is also the sign and the instrument of conversion!
Therefore there is no Christian without the cross! All Christians must accept it!
The cross is the only way to salvation.
We too must collaborate on the example of Mary Most Holy for the salvation of this world!
