DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (*,1)
Eccli 39:6-14
Il giusto volge il suo cuore a cercare Iddio suo Fattore, e al cospetto dell’Altissimo si pone in preghiera. Apre la sua bocca all’orazione e chiede misericordia per i suoi peccati. Quando piace al Sommo Iddio, lo riempie dello Spirito d’intelligenza; ed egli spande come pioggia gl’insegnamenti della sua sapienza, e dà lode al Signore nell’orazione: ed egli mette in pratica i consigli e i documenti di Lui, e medita gli occulti suoi giudizi.
Matth 5:13-19
In quel tempo Gesù disse ai suoi discepoli: «Voi siete il sale della terra. E se il sale perde la sua virtù, come lo si riattiverà? Non è più buono che ad essere gettato via e calpestato dalla gente. Voi siete la luce del mondo. Non può rimanere nascosta una città posta sopra un monte.
Oggi celebriamo la festa di San Bernardo Abate dottore della Chiesa. San Bernardo e’ il “cantore della Vergine” perche’ celebra in molte preghiere, canti e opere l’onore della BVM.
Amava la Madonna. Entro’ a 22 anni nel monastero di Chiaravalle e diede vita alla riforma cistercense. Contemplativo ma anche molto attivo nella vita politica e religiosa.
Segui’ i precetti prescritti per il giusto nella prima lettura. Il suo dono era la sapienza e le sue opere sono tuttora pubblicate. Ognuno di noi deve aprirsi con umilta’ al dono della sapienza. Dobbiamo essere luce e sale della terra!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

Eccli 39: 6-14 The just turns his heart to seek God his Maker, and before the Most High he places himself in prayer. He opens his mouth to prayer and asks for mercy for his sins. When the Supreme God pleases, he fills him with the Spirit of intelligence; and he pours out the teachings of his wisdom like rain, and gives praise to the Lord in prayer: and he puts into practice his advice and documents, and meditates on his hidden judgments.
Matth 5: 13-19 At that time Jesus said to his disciples: «You are the salt of the earth. And if the salt loses its virtue, how will it be reactivated? It is no better than to be thrown away and trampled on by people. You are the light of the world. A city located on a mountain cannot remain hidden.
Today we celebrate the feast of San Bernardo Abbot doctor of the Church. Saint Bernard is the “singer of the Virgin” because he celebrates in many prayers, songs and works in honor of the BVM. He loved the Madonna.
Within 22 years in the monastery of Chiaravalle and gave birth to the Cistercian reform. Contemplative but also very active in political and religious life.
He followed the precepts prescribed for the righteous in the first reading.
His gift was wisdom and his works are still published today.
Each of us must humbly open ourselves to the gift of wisdom.
We must be light and salt of the earth!
