Evangelium
Luc 10:38-42
In illo témpore: Intrávit Iesus in quoddam castéllum: et múlier quædam, Martha nómine, excépit illum in domum suam: et huic erat soror nómine María, quæ étiam sedens secus pedes Dómini, audiébat verbum illíus. Martha autem satagébat circa frequens ministérium: quæ stetit et ait: Dómine, non est tibi curæ, quod soror mea réliquit me solam ministráre? dic ergo illi, ut me ádiuvet.
Gospel
Luke 10:38-42
At that time, Jesus entered a certain village; and a woman named Martha welcome Him to her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who also seated herself at the Lord’s feet, and listened to His word. But Martha was busy about much serving. Ad she came up and said, Lord, is it not concern of Yours that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her therefore to help me. But the Lord answered and said to her, Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things; and yet only one thing is needful. Mary has chosen the best part, and it will not be taken away from her.
DALL’OMELIA DI (FROM THE HOMILY BY) DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA – ORARI S.MESSA DI VENERDI 29 LUGLIO 2022, ORE 8.00:
DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (*,1)
2 Cor 10:17-18; 11, 1-2.
A cosa servono tutte queste cose?

FROM THE HOMILY BY DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
2 Cor 10: 17-18; 11, 1-2. Brothers, “whoever boasts, boast in the Lord”: since not he who recommends himself is approved, but he whom the Lord recommends.
Luke 10: 38-42 At that time, Jesus entered a village and a woman named Martha received him into her home. And this one had a sister named Mary, who, sitting at the feet of the Lord, listened to his word. Meanwhile Marta was busying herself with the many household chores.
Today we celebrate the feast of Santa Marta who, together with Lazarus and Mary Magdalene, hosted Jesus in Bethany.
Their home is the symbol of the Church that hosts Jesus in their midst.
The Church promotes works of charity, but also prayer. What are these all these for? Mary chose the best part, the prayer!
It is an anticipation of our condition in paradise: continuous prayer to praise the Lord.
Therefore consecrated souls are also needed as well as people who dedicate themselves to an active life! The important thing is to be able to pray to the Lord at the right time during the day!
Praised be Christ! Always be praised!
