Vos estis lux mundi. Non potest cívitas abscóndi supra montem pósita. Neque accéndunt lucérnam, et ponunt eam sub módio, sed super candelábrum, ut lúceat ómnibus qui in domo sunt. In that time, Jesus said to His disciples: You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt lose its savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is good for nothing any more but to be cast out, and to be trodden on by men. You are the light of the world. A city seated on a mountain cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but upon a candlestick, that it may shine to all that are in the house. So let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. Do not think that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets. I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For amen I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot, or one tittle shall not pass of the law, till all be fulfilled. He therefore that shall break one of these least commandments, and shall so teach men, shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven. But he that shall do and teach, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Carissimo: Ti scongiuro davanti a Dio e a Gesù Cristo, che ha da venire a giudicare i vivi ed i morti, per la sua venuta e per il suo regno: predica la Parola, insisti a tempo opportuno e fuori tempo. Riprendi, esorta, sgrida con paziente insegnamento; perché verrà tempo in cui la gente non potrà sopportare la sana dottrina, ma per assecondare la propria passione e per prurito di novità, si creerà una folla di maestri, e per non ascoltare la verità andrà dietro a favole.

In quel tempo Gesù disse ai suoi discepoli: «Voi siete il sale della terra. Ma se il sale perde la sua virtù, come lo si riattiverà? Non è più buono che ad essere gettato via e calpestato dalla gente. Voi siete la luce del mondo. Non può rimanere nascosta una città posta sopra un monte.
Oggi festaggiamo San Lorenzo da Brindisi, al secolo Giulio Cesare Russo (o de Rossi; Brindisi, 22 luglio 1559 – Lisbona, 22 luglio 1619), è stato un presbitero, religioso e santo italiano appartenente all’Ordine dei Frati Minori Cappuccini. Divenuto cappuccino a Verona fun un grande predicatore ed evangelizzatore. Contrasto’ l’eresia protestante.
Il compito di Timoteo e’ quello del Vescovo, cioe’ il sorvegliante contro le dottrine eretiche. Ma ora la Chiesa e’ cambiata: ha preferito il compromesso con il mondo, accettando dottrine contrarie al Depositum Fidei.
Quindi i Vescovi non svolgono piu’ il loro compito. Non sono piu’ sale e luce della terra.
Il loro compito e’ diventato inutile. Per questo la Chiesa e’ disprezzata e calpestata! Ma occorre recuperare la nostra originalita’ per tornare ad essere sale e luce della terra!
Sia lodato Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

2 Tim 4: 1-8 Dearest: I adjure you before God and Jesus Christ, who has to come to judge the living and the dead, for his coming and for his kingdom: preach the Word, insist at the right time and out of time. Reprimand, exhort, scold with patient teaching; because the time will come when people will not be able to bear sound doctrine, but to indulge their passion and out of itch for novelty, a crowd of teachers will be created, and in order not to listen to the truth they will go after fables.
Matth 5: 13-19 At that time Jesus said to his disciples: «You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its virtue, how will it be reactivated? It is no better than to be thrown away and trampled on by people. You are the light of the world. A city located on a mountain cannot remain hidden.
Today we celebrate San Lorenzo of Brindisi, aka Giulio Cesare Russo (or de Rossi; Brindisi, July 22, 1559 – Lisbon, July 22, 1619), was an Italian presbyter, religious and saint belonging to the Order of the Capuchin Friars Minor.
He became a Capuchin in Verona and became a great preacher and evangelizer. Contrast the Protestant heresy.
The task of Timothy is that of the Bishop, that is, the overseer against heretical doctrines.
But now the Church has changed: it has preferred compromise with the world, accepting doctrines contrary to the Depositum Fidei.
Therefore the Bishops no longer carry out their task. They are no longer the salt and light of the earth. Their task has become useless. This is why the Church is despised and trampled on!
But we need to recover our originality to go back to being the salt and light of the earth!
