But Jesus said to them: Let the little children be, and do not hinder them from coming to Me.

Evangelium
Matt 19:13-21
Gospel
Matt 19:13-21
At that time, little children were brought to Jesus, that He might lay His hands on them and pray; but the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said to them, Let the little children be, and do not hinder them from coming to Me, for of such is the kingdom of heaven. And when He had laid His hands on them, He departed from that place. And behold, a certain man came to Him and said, Good Master, what good work shall I do to have eternal life? He said to him, Why do you ask Me about what is good? One there is Who is good, and He is God. But if you will enter into life, keep the commandments. He said to Him, Which? And Jesus said, You shall not kill. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false witness. Honor your father and mother. And, you shall love your neighbor as yourself. The young man said to Him, All these I have kept; what is yet wanting to me? Jesus said to him, If you will be perfect, go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.
DALL’OMELIA DI (FROM THE HOMILY BY) DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA – ORARI S.MESSA DI MERCOLEDI 20 LUGLIO 2022, ORE 8.00:
DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (*,1)
Is 58:7-11.

FROM THE HOMILY BY DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
Is 58: 7-11. This says the Lord God. “Break your bread for the hungry, welcome the poor and pilgrims into your home, and, if you see a naked man, clothe him, and do not despise your neighbor. Then your happiness will blossom like the dawn, your health will blossom; righteousness will show you the way, and the glory of the Lord will follow you.
Matth 19: 13-21 At that time: Little children were presented to Jesus, to lay his hands on them and pray for them. The disciples scolded them, but Jesus said to them: “Leave the little children in peace and do not prevent them from coming to me; for those who are like them is the kingdom of heaven. ” And laying his hands on them, he left.
Today we celebrate San Girolamo Emiliani Miani (royal surname Miani, as it was always signed, Venice, 1486 – Rome, February 8, 1537).
Noble Venetian family, was an Italian religious. He divested himself of his possessions to give them to the poor.
Founder of the order of regular clerics of Somasca (a locality between Bergamo and Milan), he was proclaimed a saint by Pope Clement XIII in 1767 and declared patron of the abandoned youth in 1928 by Pope Pius XI.
The first reading speaks of mercy towards the miserable, the poor and the sick.
In the Gospel, Jesus exhorts us to pay attention to children in order to allow them to drink from the graces of the Lord.
Praised be Christ! Always be praised!
