Blessed are those servants whom the master, on his return, shall find watching. Amen I say to you, he will gird himself, and will make them recline at table, and will come and serve them.

EVANGELIUM E OMELIA\HOMILY:
Evangelium
Luc 12:35-40
Gospel
Luke 12:35-40
At that time, Jesus said to His disciples: Let your loins be girt about and your lamps burning, and you yourselves like men waiting for their master’s return from the wedding; so that when he comes and knocks, they may straightway open to him. Blessed are those servants whom the master, on his return, shall find watching. Amen I say to you, he will gird himself, and will make them recline at table, and will come and serve them. And if he comes in the second watch, and if in the third, and finds them so, blessed are those servants! But of this be assured, that if the householder had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would certainly have watched, and not have let his house be broken into. You also must be ready, because at an hour that you do not expect, the Son of Man is coming.
DALL’OMELIA DI (FROM THE HOMILY BY) DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA – ORARI S.MESSA DI VENERDI 15 LUGLIO 2022, ORE 8.00:
Giuro’ fedelta’ a Benedetto VIII.

FROM THE HOMILY BY DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1) (IN PREP.)
The phrase-memento of today’s Gospel is “Et vos estóte paráti, quia, qua hora non putátis, Fílius hóminis véniet.”
Today in the Vetus Ordo we celebrate St. Henry II the Holy (Bad Abbach or Hildesheim, 6 May 973 – Grona, 13 July 1024).
He was king of Italy from 1002 to 1024, emperor of the Holy Roman Empire and the last exponent of the Ottoni dynasty. I swear ‘loyalty’ to Benedict VIII. He fell ill while in Montecassino he was miraculously healed by San Benedetto.
On his return he wanted to become a monk at Cluny Abbey, but was persuaded to return to the kingdom and empire.
He and his wife devoted themselves to chastity.
He is buried with his wife in the Bamberg cathedral. His purpose was to obey the Lord!
What a shining example!
What orientation do we want to give to our life? We are very worried these days.
But we must not lose sight of the fact that we are close to the Great
Warning! We must be ready! If the Lord finds us like this we will get graces and perhaps special missions! But he must find us in God’s grace, with the right dispositions of mind!
The Lord will reward people who are truly faithful to him!
Praised be Christ! Always be praised!
