Luc 10:1-9
In illo témpore: Designávit Dóminus et álios septuagínta duos: et misit illos binos ante fáciem suam in omnem civitátem et locum, quo erat ipse ventúrus. Et dicebat illis: Messis quidem multa, operárii autem pauci. Rogáte ergo Dóminum messis, ut mittat operários in messem suam. Ite: ecce, ego mitto vos sicut agnos inter lupos. Nolíte portare sacculum neque peram neque calceaménta; et néminem per viam salutavéritis. In quamcúmque domum intravéritis, primum dícite: Pax huic dómui: et si ibi fúerit fílius pacis, requiéscet super illum pax vestra: sin autem, ad vos revertétur. In eádem autem domo manéte, edéntes et bibéntes quæ apud illos sunt: dignus est enim operárius mercede sua. Nolíte transíre de domo in domum. Luke 10:1-9
At that time, the Lord appointed seventy-two others, and sent them forth two by two before Him into every town and place where He Himself was about to come. And He said to them, The harvest indeed is great, but the laborers are few. Pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send forth laborers into His harvest. Go. Behold, I send you forth as lambs in the midst of wolves. Carry neither purse, nor wallet, nor sandals, and greet no one on the way. Whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this house!’ And if a son of peace be there, your peace will rest upon him; but if not, it will return to you. And remain in the same house, eating and drinking what they have; for the laborer deserves his wages. Do not go from house to house. And whatever town you enter, and they receive you, eat what is set before you, and cure the sick who are there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God is at hand for you.

Fratelli: i sacerdoti levitici erano in molti, perché la morte non permetteva che durassero; ma il Cristo invece possiede il sacerdozio che non finisce mai, perché Egli dura in eterno; e perciò può anche in perpetuo salvare coloro che per mezzo suo si accostano a Dio.
Luc 10:1-9
In quel tempo: Il Signore scelse anche altri settantadue discepoli e li mandò a due a due innanzi a sé in ogni città e luogo dove egli era per andare. E diceva loro: «La messe è molta, ma gli operai sono pochi. Pregate dunque il padrone della messe che mandi operai per la sua mietitura. Andate! Ecco, io vi mando come agnelli in mezzo a lupi.
Oggi ricordiamo i SS. Cirillo e Metodio, evangelizzatori dei popoli slavi. Erano fratelli di Salonicco.
Misero tutto il loro impegno per evangelizzare gli slavi. Inventarono gli alfabeti cirillico e glagolitico.
La loro opera missionaria ora e’ ferma. Ma il mondo ha bisogno dell’annuncio del Vangelo. I missionari non devono preoccuparsi delle loro necessita’ materiali ne intrattenersi inutilmente con i laici.
La loro opera e’ l’evangelizzazione!
Sia lodato Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

Hebr 7: 23-27 Brothers: the Levitical priests were many, because death did not allow them to last; but Christ instead possesses the priesthood which never ends, because He lasts forever; and therefore he can also perpetually save those who draw near to God through him.
Luke 10: 1-9 At that time: The Lord also chose seventy-two other disciples and sent them two by two ahead of him to every city and place where he was to go. And he said to them: «The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest. Go! Behold, I am sending you out as lambs among wolves.
Today we remember the SS. Cyril and Methodius, evangelizers of the Slavic peoples.
They were brothers from Thessaloniki.
They put all their effort into evangelizing the Slavs. They invented the Cyrillic and Glagolitic alphabets.
Their missionary work is now at a standstill.
But the world needs the proclamation of the Gospel.
Missionaries do not have to worry about their material needs or spend time with the laity in vain. Their work is evangelization!
Praised be Jesus Christ. Always be praised!
