Et ait ad illos parábolam istam, dicens: Quis ex vobis homo, qui habet centum oves: et si perdíderit unam ex illis, nonne dimíttit nonagínta novem in desérto, et vadit ad illam, quæ períerat, donec invéniat eam? Et cum invénerit eam, impónit in húmeros suos gaudens: et véniens domum, cónvocat amícos et vicínos, dicens illis: Congratulámini mihi, quia invéni ovem meam, quæ períerat? At that time, the publicans and sinners were drawing near to Him to listen to Him. And the Pharisees and the Scribes murmured, saying, This man welcomes sinners and eats with them. But He spoke to them this parable, saying, What man of you having a hundred sheep, and losing one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the desert, and go after that which is lost, until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it upon his shoulders rejoicing. And on coming home he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, because I have found my sheep that was lost.’ I say to you that, even so, there will be joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, more then over ninety-nine just who have no need of repentance. Or what woman, having ten drachmas, if she loses one drachma, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? And when she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the drachma that I had lost.’ Even so, I say to you, there will be joy among the angels of God over one sinner who repents.

DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (*,1)
Lettura della Lettera del B. Pietro Ap.
1 Pet 5:6-11
Carissimi: Umiliatevi sotto la potente mano di Dio, affinché vi esalti nel tempo della sua visita: e affidate a Lui ogni vostra preoccupazione, poiché Egli stesso ha cura di voi. Siate sobrii e vigilate, poiché il vostro nemico, il diavolo, vi circonda come un leone ruggente, cercando di divorare qualcuno: ad esso resistete forti nella fede; sapendo che le medesime sofferenze hanno i vostri fratelli sparsi per il mondo.
Luc 15:1-10
In quel tempo: Si erano accostati a Gesú pubblicani e peccatori per ascoltarlo. E scribi e farisei mormoravano, dicendo: Riceve i peccatori e mangia con essi. Allora egli disse questa parabola: Chi di voi, avendo cento pecore, perdutane una, non lascia le novantanove nel deserto e va in cerca di quella smarrita finché la ritrova? E ritrovatala, non la pone contento sulle spalle e, tornato a casa, raduna amici e vicini, dicendo loro: Congratulatevi con me, perché ho ritrovata la pecora che si era smarrita? Io vi dico che in cielo vi sarà piú gioia per un peccatore che fa penitenza, che non per novantanove giusti che non hanno bisogno di penitenza.
Il Vangelo ci presenta due parabole della Misericordia (della pecora e della dracma smarrite).
Ci parlano entrambe del cuore di Gesu’: la cura che Lui ha per noi. Per il Pastore ogni anima e’ importante!
Ci sono anche gli amici (siamo noi!) che sono chiamati a rallegrarsi con il Signore!
L’altra frase memorabile e’ qualla della conversione: “c’e’ piu’ gioia nel cielo per un’anima che si converte che di 99 anime gia’ salve!”.
Il Signore e’ addolorato per le anime che non si convertono! La loro vita e’ triste e infelice!
Cerchiamo quindi di non addolorare il Signore, stando attenti di evitare le tentazioni del diavolo.
E anche avere verso gli altri gli stessi sentimenti di Gesu’. Per Lui tutti siamo importanti!
Noi e tutti gli altri uomini valiamo tanto per il Signore!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

Reading of the Letter of Blessed Peter Ap. 1 Pet 5: 6-11 Dear friends: Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that he may exalt you in the time of his visit: and entrust all your worries to him, since he himself cares for you. Be sober and watchful, because your enemy, the devil, surrounds you like a roaring lion, trying to devour someone: resist him strong in faith; knowing that the same sufferings have your brothers around the world.
Luke 15: 1-10 At that time: Tax collectors and sinners came to Jesus to listen to him. And the scribes and Pharisees murmured, saying: Receive sinners and eat with them. Then he spoke this parable: Which of you, having a hundred sheep, who has lost one, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness and go in search of the lost one until he finds it? And when he finds it again, he does not place it happy on his shoulders and, returning home, he gathers friends and neighbors, saying to them: Congratulate me, because I have found the sheep that was lost? I tell you that in heaven there will be more joy for a sinner who does penance, than for ninety-nine righteous who do not need penance.
The Gospel presents us with two parables of Mercy (of the lost sheep and the drachma).
They both speak to us of the heart of Jesus: the care he has for us. For the Shepherd every soul is important!
There are also friends (it is us!) Who are called to rejoice with the Lord! The other memorable phrase is that of conversion: “there is more joy in heaven for a soul that is converted than 99 souls already saved!”. The Lord is saddened by the souls who are not converted!
Their life is sad and unhappy! Let us therefore try not to grieve the Lord, being careful to avoid the temptations of the devil.
And also to have the same sentiments of Jesus towards others.
We are all important to him! We and all other men are worth so much to the Lord!
Praised be Jesus Christ. Always be praised!
