Evangelium
Luc 5:17-26
Gospel
Luke 5:17-26
At that time, it came to pass on one of the days, that Jesus sat teaching. And there were Pharisees and teachers of the Law sitting by, who had come out of every village of Galilee and Judea and out of Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was present to heal them. And behold, some men were carrying upon a pallet a man who was paralyzed, and they were trying to bring him in and to lay him before Him. And as they found no way of bringing him in, because of the crowd, they went up onto the roof and lowered him through the tiles, with his pallet, into the midst before Jesus. And seeing their faith, He said, Man, your sins are forgiven you. And the Scribes and Pharisees began to argue, saying, Who is this man who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God only? But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, answered and said to them, “Why are you arguing in your hearts? Which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise and walk’?” But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins – He said to the paralytic – I say to you, arise, take up your pallet and go to your house. And immediately he arose before them, took up what he had been lying on, and went away to his house, glorifying God. And astonishment seized upon them all, and they glorified God and were filled with fear, saying, We have seen wonderful things today.
DALL’OMELIA DI (FROM THE HOMILY BY) DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA – ORARI S.MESSA DI VENERDI 10 GIUGNO ORE 8.00
DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (*,1) (in prep.)
Joel 2:23-24; 2:26-27

FROM THE HOMILY BY DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
Joel 2: 23-24; 2: 26-27 These things the Lord God says: “Rejoice, children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God, for the teacher of righteousness has given you; it will send you the rains of autumn, and of spring, as in ancient times. And the threshing floors will be filled with grain, and the cellars will overflow with wine and oil.
Luke 5: 17-26 At that time: Jesus was one day teaching; and around there were Pharisees and doctors of the law, who had come from every country of Galilee and Judea and from Jerusalem; and the power of the Lord led him to heal. And behold some men carrying a paralytic on a little bed, and they were trying to introduce him to place him in front of him. But not having found how to introduce him because of the crowd, they went up on the roof, and, from among the tiles, they lowered him down with the little bed in the middle, in front of Jesus.
Today is Friday of the Quattuor Tempora of Pentecost. Friday reminds us of Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross. – But it is also our spiritual commitment in the Christian life, in faith, hope and charity.
Jesus forgives the paralytic’s sins.
The sins are in the spiritual sphere (and are not seen).
But the proof of forgiveness is his physical healing! In recent times it is necessary to trust in God, so that he makes our souls and our actions fruitful!
Praised be Jesus Christ. Always be praised!
