Evangelium
Matt 16:13-19
Gospel
Matt 16:13-19
At that time, Jesus, having come into the district of Caesarea Philippi, began to ask His disciples, saying, Who do men say the Son of Man is? But they said, Some say, John the Baptist; and others, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He said to them, But who do you say that I am? Simon Peter answered and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God. Then Jesus answered and said, Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jona, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father in heaven. And I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

DALL’OMELIA DI (FROM THE HOMILY BY) DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA – ORARI S.MESSA DI GIOVEDI 19 MAGGIO 2022, ORE 8.00
DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (*,1)
Pet 5:1-4; 5:10-11
I santi come lui siano nostri esempi!

FROM THE HOMILY BY DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,2)
Pet 5: 1-4; 5: 10-11 Dear friends: I too priest and witnesses of the Passion of Christ and called to have part in the future glory, I adjure the priests who are among you: Shepherd the flock of God, which is entrusted to you, governing it not by force, but willingly for love. of God; not for vile gain, but with a generous spirit; not as rulers of the Churches, but as sincere models of the flock; and so, when the prince of shepherds appears, you will receive the incorruptible crown of glory.
Matt 16: 13-19 At that time, Jesus, having come to the area of Caesarea Philippi, asked his disciples: “Who do they say is the Son of man?”. And they answered: “Some John the Baptist, others She, still others Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.”
Today we celebrate the feast of Celestino V, born Pietro Angelerio (or according to some Angeleri), called Pietro da Morrone and venerated as San Pietro Celestino (Isernia or Sant’Angelo Limosano, between 1209 and 1215 – Fumone, 19 May 1296). He was pope (192º) from 29 August to 13 December 1294. He created the order of Celestine monks. He was elected pope after 27 months of papal vacation. But it didn’t last long. He realized he was unable to govern the church and resigned. His was a real renunciation (3), based on his humility.
Humility is indispensable for holiness! Saints like him be our examples! Indeed, it is necessary to see our neighbor as Jesus himself sees him. It is therefore necessary to grow in the virtues that represent holiness, humility in the first place.
Let us pray that the fire of the Holy Spirit may reach the hearts of the shepherds who have forgotten and neglected the Lord!
Praised be Jesus Christ. Always be praised!

(2) The celebration Chapel of Sacred Hearts from now on is set under the protection of the Pilgrim Madonna of Montichiari (Brescia, Italy, 1946).
(3) After him Gregory XII (in 1415) and finally Benedict XVI (in 2013) will renounce, whose resignation is ineffective since he has kept the Munus Petrinus, orando et patendo, or in order to offer himself to God as a victim soul for devote himself exclusively to prayer and atonement. Therefore Benedict XVI is still the only true Pope and Vicar of Christ.
