Evangelium
Matt 17:1-9
Gospel
Matt 17:1-9
At that time, Jesus took Peter, James and his brother John, and led them up a high mountain by themselves, and was transfigured before them. And His face shone as the sun, and His garments became white as snow. And behold, there appeared to them Moses and Elias talking together with Him. Then Peter addressed Jesus, saying, Lord, it is good for us to be here. If You will, let us set up three tents here, one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elias. As he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold, a voice out of the cloud said, This is My beloved Son, in Whom I am well pleased; hear Him. And on hearing it the disciples fell on their faces and were exceedingly afraid. And Jesus came near and touched them, and said to them, Arise, and do not be afraid. But lifting up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only. And as they were coming down from the mountain, Jesus cautioned them, saying, Tell the vision to no one, till the Son of Man has risen from the dead.
DALL’OMELIA DI (FROM THE HOMILY BY) DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA – ORARI S.MESSA DI OGGI DOMENICA13 MARZ0 2022, ORE 10.30
DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (*)
1 Thess 4:1-7.

FROM THE HOMILY BY DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**)
1 Thess 4: 1-7. Brothers: We pray you and we beg you in the Lord Jesus, to study to live more and more in that way that you learned from us having to live to please God, and as you already live.
Matt 17: 1-9 At that time, Jesus took with him Peter, James and his brother John, and led them by themselves to a high mountain; and, before them, he was transfigured. His face became as bright as the sun, his clothes became as white as snow.
On this second Sunday of Lent we hear again the gospel of the transfiguration. The event serves to confirm the mission and presence of the Lord throughout the world, this assembly extends to the whole world. With the mind’s eye we see Jesus transfigured on Mount Tabor.
The world goal is perhaps not far away: in front of us is Mount Tabor. It is nice to be with the gentleman! Pietro wants to build three tents to be able to stay on the mountain. If we remain faithful, we will soon be able to live this time. The BVM has announced that her Immaculate Heart will triumph!
The Lord, making his Mother appear to us, wanted to anticipate the triumph of his Immaculate Heart. Let’s put ourselves under the protection of Mary’s mantle, let’s not worry about anything else, everything will pass away, we will see the light of the transfiguration.
But, as Saint Paul says, we must remain pure, we must rise above the passions! Sins and impurities, in fact, distance us from God.
Let us therefore continue the journey of Lent confident in God’s help!
Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised!
