Evangelium
Matt 21:10-17
Gospel
Matt 21:10-17
At that time, when Jesus entered Jerusalem, all the city was thrown into commotion, saying, Who is this? But the crowds kept on saying, This is Jesus the prophet from Nazareth of Galilee. And Jesus entered the temple of God, and cast out all those who were selling and buying in the temple, and He overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold the doves. And He said to them, It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer’; but you have make it a den of thieves. And the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them. But the chief priests and the Scribes, seeing the wonderful deeds that He did, and the children crying out in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David, were indignant, and said to Him, Do You hear what these are saying? And Jesus said to them, Yes; have you never read, ‘Out of the mouth of infants and sucklings You have perfected praise’? And leaving them, He went out of the city to Bethany and He stayed there.
DALL’OMELIA DI (FROM THE HOMILY BY) DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA – ORARI S.MESSA DI OGGI MARTEDI 8 MARZ0 2022, ORE 8.00
DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (*)
Is 55:6-11

FROM THE HOMILY BY DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**)
Is 55: 6-11 Thus spoke the prophet Isaiah in those days: “Seek the Lord when he can be found, call on him when he is near. Let the wicked abandon his way, the iniquitous his thoughts and return to the Lord who will have mercy on him, to our God whom he grants. in forgiveness. “And as the heavens are upon the earth, so my ways are upon yours, my thoughts upon yours.” So says the Lord God Almighty.
Matt 21: 10-17 And Jesus went into the temple of God, drove out all those who bought and sold there, and overturned the stalls of the money changers and the chairs of the dove sellers, saying to them: “It is written:” My house is a house of prayer “; but you have made it a den of thieves ».
The week of the quattor tempora is the one we are experiencing.
Friday and Saturday are the days of abstinence, but all Lent is made for this also from a spiritual point of view.
The Gospel speaks to us of the strong gesture of Jesus inside the temple, a gesture that shakes the priests of the temple.
Jesus overturns the desks of the money changers and the sellers of doves that were in the outer enclosure of the temple.
Today the temple is the Church and also our soul where God is present. We must have great respect for the moment (the soul) and the place (the Church) of prayer.
We must banish our material interests and beyond. In fact, the true impurity that we must remove is that of sin!
Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised!
