Matt 11:25-30
In illo témpore: Respóndens Iesus, dixit: Confíteor tibi, Pater, Dómine coeli et terræ, quia abscondísti hæc a sapiéntibus et prudéntibus, et revelásti ea párvulis. Ita, Pater: quóniam sic fuit plácitum ante te. Omnia mihi trádita sunt a Patre meo. Et nemo novit Fílium nisi Pater: neque Patrem quis novit nisi Fílius, et cui volúerit Fílius reveláre. Veníte ad me, omnes, qui laborátis et oneráti estis, et ego refíciam vos. Tóllite iugum meum super vos, et díscite a me, quia mitis sum et húmilis corde: et inveniétis réquiem animábus vestris. Iugum enim meum suáve est et onus meum leve.

At that time, Jesus spoke and said, I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You hid these things from the wise and prudent, and revealed them to little ones. Yes, Father, for such was Your good pleasure. All things have been delivered to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and him to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him. Come to Me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden light.

Act 1, 15-26.
E dissero pregando: «Tu, Signore, che conosci i cuori di tutti, mostra quale di questi due tu abbia scelto a prendere, in questo ministero e apostolato, il posto dal quale prevaricò Giuda, per andarsene nel suo luogo». E tirarono a sorte, e la sorte cadde su Mattia, ed egli fu aggregato agli undici apostoli.
Matt 11:25-30.
Venite a me, voi tutti che siete affaticati ed oppressi, e io vi darà riposo. Prendete su di voi il mio giogo, e imparate da me che sono mite ed umile di cuore; e troverete riposo per le vostre anime, perché il mio giogo è soave, e il mio peso è leggero».
Oggi celebriamo la festa di San Mattia (Matteo) apostolo, divenuto tale dopo la morte di Giuda per elezione da parte del collegio degli apostoli. Il Vangelo riporta il brano in cui Gesu ringrazia il Padre perche’ fa conoscere le sue profezie agli umili e non ai superbi.
Solo gli umili infatti possono comprendere con il cuore. Mentre i superbi si confonderanno nello loro inutili congetture. Le profezie sono importanti, ma su di esse non possiamo fare piani dettagliati.
Mattia verra’ ucciso per lapidazione e con un colpo d’ascia a Gerusalemme durante le prime persecuzioni. Mattia puo’ dunque come santo intercedere per noi in questo tempo di crisi della chiesa.
La chiesa potra’ raggiungere la salvezza (il porto della chiesa) come nella profezia di San Giovanni Bosco!
Sia lodato Gesu Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

Act 1, 15-26. And they said praying: “You, Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which of these two you have chosen to take, in this ministry and apostolate, the place from which Judas prevailed, to go to his place”. And they cast lots, and the lot fell on Matthias, and he was attached to the eleven apostles.
Matt 11: 25-30. Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me that I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for your souls, because my yoke is sweet, and my weight is light ».
Today we celebrate the feast of St. Matthias (Matthew) the apostle, who became such after the death of Judas by election by the college of the apostles.
The Gospel reports the passage in which Jesus thanks the Father because he makes his prophecies known to the humble and not to the proud.
In fact, only the humble can understand with the heart.
While the proud will get confused in their useless conjectures. Prophecies are important, but we cannot make detailed plans for them.
Mattia will be killed by stoning and with an ax in Jerusalem during the first persecutions. Matthias can therefore as a saint intercede for us in this time of crisis in the church.
The church will be able to reach salvation (the port of the church) as in the prophecy of St. John Bosco!
Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised!
