EVANGELIUM E OMELIA\HOMILY:
Evangelium
Matt 20:1-16
Gospel
Matt 20:1-16
At that time, Jesus spoke to His disciples this parable: The kingdom of heaven is like a householder who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard. And having agreed with the laborers for a denarius a day, he sent them into his vineyard. And about the third hour, he went out and saw others standing in the market place idle; and he said to them, ‘Go you also into the vineyard, and I will give you whatever is just.’ So they went. And again he went out about the sixth, and about the ninth hour, and did as before. But about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing about and he said to them, ‘Why do you stand here all day idle?’ They said to him, ‘Because no man has hired us.’ He said to them, ‘Go you also into the vineyard.’ But when evening had come, the owner of the vineyard said to his steward, ‘Call the laborers, and pay them their wages, beginning from the last even to the first.’ Now when they of the eleventh hour came, they received each a denarius. And when the first in their term came, they thought that they would receive more; but they also received each his denarius. And on receiving it, they began to murmur against the householder, saying, ‘These last have worked a single hour, and you have put them on a level with us, who have borne the burden of the day’s heat.’ But answering one of them, he said, ‘Friend, I do you no injustice; did you not agree with me for a denarius? Take what is yours and go; I choose to give to this last even as to you. Have I not a right to do what I choose? Or are you envious because I am generous?’ Even so the last shall be first, and the first last; for many are called, but few are chosen.
DALL’OMELIA DI (FROM THE HOMILY BY) DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA – ORARI S.MESSA DI OGGI DOMENICA 13 FEBBRAIO 2022, ORE 10.30
DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (*)
1 Cor 9:24-27; 10:1-5
Matt 20:1-16
Dobbiamo morire in certe cose e crescere in altre.

FROM THE HOMILY BY DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**)
1 Cor 9: 24-27; 10: 1-5
Brothers: Don’t you know that those who run in the stadium, all indeed run, but only one gets the prize? So run, in order to earn it.
Matt 20: 1-16
At that time: Jesus told his disciples this parable: The kingdom of heaven is like a father of a family, who went early in the morning to set workers for his vineyard. Thus the first will be last, and the last first. In fact, many will be called, but few will be chosen.
Today is a special Sunday because it marks the beginning of the preparation for Easter.
The last words of the Gospel displace us: we must not be calm along our path. We have to die in some things and grow in others.
Our life is like a race, a match in the stadium. The Christian life is in fact a constant struggle. It is necessary to keep the reign of satrana that is also present in ourselves every day. Saint Paul says: do not act like those who wave their fists in the air!
Remember that our fathers were under the cloud in the desert (which protected them), the manna, the crossing of the Red Sea. But not all of them were saved. Not everyone was pleased with the Lord! In addition, it is necessary to work in the vineyard.
This is the work we have to do. Many are called, but few are chosen. Everyone gets a denarius (heaven). So it’s the best! Our work is human life. Everyone has their own mission.
Nobody is in the world by chance! We are all important: for the redemption of mankind! In order for the fruits to be lasting and abundant, each one must commit himself to his tasks! It is necessary in the evening to thank the Lord for his gifts.
The vineyard fence has been torn down! This is the situation of the church today! Nobody guards the church! Few voices are raised, the pastor was hit, the church was lost! False shepherds appear: no one cultivates the vine!
We are the last in the thoughts of those who should lead us! But we will be the first! This is the Lord’s promise! It is the time of the test!
We are not alone, we are with our vicar Benedict XVI. Who has not abandoned us! It is the only thing left! Let us set out along the path that leads us to God! We must please the hearts of Mary and Jesus!
We have unceasing and unshakable faith in the Lord!
Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised!
