DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
Dalla seconda lettera di san Paolo apostolo a Timoteo.
Carissimo: Ti scongiuro davanti a Dio e a Gesù Cristo, predica la Parola, insisti a tempo opportuno e [anche] fuori tempo, confuta, riprendi [correggi], esorta, sgrida con paziente insegnamento. Perché verrà tempo in cui la gente non potrà sopportare la sana dottrina, ma per assecondare la propria passione e per prurito di novità, si creerà una folla di [falsi] maestri, e per non ascoltare la verità andrà dietro a favole [eresie]. [Quanto a me,] ho combattuto la buona battaglia, ho conservato la fede e non mi resta [altro] che ricevere la corona di giustizia-
Dal Vangelo secondo S. Matteo. In quel tempo Gesù disse ai suoi discepoli: «Voi siete il sale della terra. Ma se il sale perde la sua virtù, come lo si riattiverà [ravvivera’]?». «Voi siete la luce del mondo. Non può rimanere nascosta una città posta sopra un monte » [non potete restare nel buio, diffondete la luce!]
Il santo che oggi ricordiamo e’ un santo luminoso, San Francesco di Sales. Vescovo di Ginevra e dottore della Chiesa. Si ispira alò mistero del Verbo che si fa uomo e che nasce come umile bambino. Il suo motto e’ che ogni atto della nostra vita deve essere ispirato dall’amore per Dio e gli altri. Ha ispirato anche Giovanni Bosco che designera’ per questo il suo ordine come Salesiano. Margherita Alacoque fu una santa a lui ispirata (rivelazioni del Sacro Cuore di Gesu’).
Anche la nostra Cappella e’ ispirata da questo santo. In questa Cappella primeggia, infatti, il Sacro Cuore di Gesu’.
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

From the second letter of Saint Paul the apostle to Timothy.
Dearest: I adjure you before God and Jesus Christ, preach the Word, insist in season and out of season, refute, reprove [correct], exhort, rebuke with patient teaching. Because the time will come when people will not be able to tolerate sound doctrine, but to indulge their passion and itching for novelty, a crowd of [false] teachers will be created, and in order not to listen to the truth they will follow fables [heresies]. [As for me,] I have fought the good fight, I have kept the faith, and all that remains for me is to receive the crown of righteousness-
From the Gospel according to St. Matthew.
At that time Jesus said to his disciples: «You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its virtue, how will it be reactivated [revived]?”. «You are the light of the world. A city located on a mountain cannot remain hidden » [you cannot remain in the dark, spread the light!] The saint we remember today is a luminous saint, Saint Francis de Sales. Bishop of Geneva and Doctor of the Church. It is inspired by the mystery of the Word who becomes man and who is born as a humble child.
