DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
Matt 10:34-42
In quel tempo disse Gesù ai suoi discepoli: «Non crediate che io sia venuto a mettere pace sulla terra. Non sono venuto a mettere la pace, ma la spada. Perché son venuto a dividere il figlio dal padre, la figlia dalla madre, la nuora dalla suocera; così che i nemici dell’uomo saranno quelli di casa. Chi ama il padre e la madre più di me, non è degno di me. E chi ama il figlio e la figlia più di me, non è degno di me. E chi non prende la sua croce e non mi segue, non è degno di me. Chi fa risparmio della sua vita, la perderà; e chi avrà perduta la sua vita per amor mio, la ritroverà. Chi riceve voi riceve me, e chi riceve me riceve Colui che mi ha mandato. Chi accoglie un profeta appunto perché profeta, riceverà premio da profeta; e chi riceve un giusto come giusto, riceverà premio da giusto. E chi avrà dato da bere, anche un solo bicchiere di acqua fresca, ad uno di questi piccoli, perché mio discepolo, in verità vi dico, non perderà la sua ricompensa».
Oggi ricordiamo San Venceslao patrono della Boemia. Vissuto nel X secolo fu il primo re cristiano della Boemia. Due anni dopo la sua incoronazione fu ucciso dal fratello mentre era in chiesa pregando. Pratico’ nella sua breve vita tutte le virtu’ cristiane.
Lascio’ come eredita’ al suo popola la fede cristiana!
Credere in Dio significa combattere contro le esigenze del mondo e anche della propria famiglia. Chi vuole seguire Dio va incontro a queste conseguenze. La pace, nel senso di tranquillita’, non e’ quella di Dio!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

Matt 10: 34-42 At that time Jesus said to his disciples: «Do not think that I have come to put peace on the earth. I did not come to put peace, but the sword. Because I have come to divide the son from the father, the daughter from the mother, the daughter-in-law from the mother-in-law; so that man’s enemies will be those of the house. Whoever loves father and mother more than me is not worthy of me. And whoever loves his son and daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever saves his life will lose it; and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it again. Whoever receives you receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me. Whoever welcomes a prophet precisely because he is a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward; and whoever receives a just as just, will receive a righteous reward. And whoever has given to drink, even a single glass of fresh water, to one of these little ones, because my disciple, in truth I tell you, will not lose his reward ».
Today we remember St. Wenceslas patron saint of Bohemia. Lived in the 10th century ful the first Christian king of Bohemia.
Two years after his coronation he was killed by his brother while he was praying in church. In his short life he practiced all the Christian virtues, leaving the Christian faith to his people as inheritance!
Believing in God means fighting against the needs of the world and also of one’s family.
Those who want to follow God face these consequences.
Peace, in the sense of tranquility, is not that of God!
