Matt 18:1-5
In illo témpore: Accessérunt discípuli ad Iesum, dicéntes: Quis, putas, maior est in regno cœlórum? Et ádvocans Iesus párvulum, státuit eum in médio eórum et dixit: Amen, dico vobis, nisi convérsi fuéritis et efficiámini sicut párvuli, non intrábitis in regnum cœlórum. Quicumque ergo humiliáverit se sicut párvulus iste, hic est maior in regno cœlórum. Et qui suscéperit unum párvulum talem in nómine meo, me súscipit.

At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, Who then is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? And Jesus called a little child to him, set him their midst, and said, Amen I say to you, unless you turn and become like little children, you will not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whoever, therefore, humbles himself as this little child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever receives one such little child for My sake, receives Me.

Dal libro della Sapienza.
Beato l’uomo che ? trovato senza macchia, che non ? andato dietro all’oro, e non ha sperato nel danaro e nei tesori. Chi ? costui e gli daremo lode? Poich? certo ha fatto meraviglie nella sua vita. Costui, che fu provato con l’oro e rimase incorrotto, sicche ridonda a sua gloria? Costui, che poteva peccare e non peccare, fare del male e non lo fece? Per questo i suoi beni sono resi stabili nel Signore, e le sue lodi celebrate in pubblica riunione.
Dal Vangelo secondo S. Matteo
In quel tempo, i discepoli si avvicinarono a Gesu e gli chiesero: “Chi e’ dunque il piu’ grande nel regno dei cieli?”. E Gesu’, chiamato a se un fanciullo, lo pose in mezzo a loro e disse: “In verita’ vi dico: se non vi convertirete e non diventerete come fanciulli, non entrerete nel regno dei cieli. Chi dunque si far? piccolo come questo fanciullo, costui ? il piu’ grande nel regno dei cieli. E chi accoglie nel mio nome un fanciullo come questo, accoglie me”.
Questo Vangelo ci invita ad accogliere i bambini nel nome del Signore. Oggi ricordiamo S.Giovanni Battista della Salle in France. Ricco di famiglia divenne sacerdote volle dedicarsi all’educazione religiosa dei bambi poveri. Istitui’ per questo una congregazione (I fratelli delle scuole cristiane).
Oggi i bambini sono soprattutto poveri di insegnamenti religiosi. Chiediamo quindil’intercerssione dei grandio santi educatori per colmare questa grave mancanza.
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

From the book of Wisdom.
Here is 31:8-11
Blessed is the man who is? found without blemish, which is not? went after gold, and did not hope for money and treasures. Who ? this man and we will give him praise? Since? he certainly did wonders in his life. This man, who was tested with gold and remained incorrupt, so redounds to his glory? This man, who could sin and not sin, do evil and didn’t do it? For this reason his goods are made stable in the Lord, and his praises celebrated in public assembly.
From the Gospel according to St. Matthew
Matt 18:1-5
At that time, the disciples approached Jesus and asked him: “Who then is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”. And Jesus called a child to him, placed him among them and said: “Truly I say to you, unless you convert and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Who then will be? as small as this child, is he? the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes a child like this in my name welcomes me.”
This Gospel invites us to welcome children in the name of the Lord. Today we remember St. John Baptist de la Salle in France. Having a rich family, he became a priest and wanted to dedicate himself to the religious education of poor children. For this reason he established a congregation (The Brothers of the Christian Schools).
Today children are especially poor in religious teachings. We therefore ask for the intercession of the great holy educators to fill this serious lack.
