Ioannes 17:1-11
In illo témpore: Sublevátis Iesus óculis in cœlum, dixit: Pater, venit hora, clarífica Fílium tuum, ut Fílius tuus claríficet te: sicut dedísti ei potestátem omnis carnis, ut omne, quod dedísti ei, det eis vitam ætérnam. Hæc est autem vita ætérna: ut cognóscant te, solum Deum verum, et quem misísti Iesum Christum. Ego te clarificávi super terram: opus consummávi, quod dedísti mihi, ut fáciam: et nunc clarífica me tu, Pater, apud temetípsum, claritáte, quam hábui, priúsquam mundus esset, apud te. Manifestávi nomen tuum homínibus, quos dedísti mihi de mundo. Tui erant, et mihi eos dedísti; et sermónem tuum servavérunt. John 17:1-11.
At that time, raising His eyes to heaven, Jesus said, Father, the hour has come! Glorify Your Son, that Your Son may glorify You, even as You have given Him power over all flesh, in order that to all You have given Him He may give everlasting life. Now this is everlasting life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Him Whom You have sent, Jesus Christ. I have glorified You on earth; I have accomplished the work that You have given Me to do. And now You, Father, glorify Me with Yourself, with the glory that I had with You before the world existed. I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, and You have given them to Me, and they have kept Your word. Now they have learnt that whatever You have given Me is from You; because the words that You have given Me I have given to them. And they have received them, and have known of a truth that I came forth from You, and they have believed that You did send Me. I pray for them; not for the world do I pray, but for those whom You have given Me, because they are Yours; and all things that are Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine; and I am glorified in them. DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
Dalla lettera di san Paolo apostolo agli Efesini.
Fratelli, a ciascuno di noi è stata data la grazia secondo la misura del dono fattoci dal Cristo. Ecco perché è detto: “Asceso in alto, fece schiava la schiavitù: distribuì doni agli uomini”.
Dal Vangelo secondo Sa. Giovanni apostolo.
In quel tempo; levando gli occhi al Cielo, Gesù disse: «Padre, è giunta l’ora, glorifica il tuo Figlio, onde anche il tuo Figlio glorifichi te, secondo il potere che Gli hai dato sopra ogni uomo, con il donare la vita eterna a coloro che gli hai affidati. E la vita eterna consiste in questo: che conoscano te, solo vero Dio, e colui che hai mandato, Gesù Cristo. Io ti ho glorificato sulla terra, compiendo l’opera che mi hai data da fare; ed ora, Padre, glorifica me presso di te con quella gloria che ebbi presso di te prima che il mondo fosse. Ho manifestato il tuo nome agli uomini che mi affidasti, traendoli dal mondo; erano tuoi e li desti a me, ed essi hanno osservata la tua parola.
Oggi nel Vangelo Gesu’ ci dice: “Per essi io prego; non prego per il mondo, ma per quelli che mi hai affidati, perché son tuoi.” Quindi Gesu’ e’ venuto a salvare tutti quelli che nel mondo hanno fede in lui!
Oggi celebriamo la vigilia dell’Ascensione del Signore. Sono tempi che ci invitano all’allegrezza. C’e’ gioia ed esultanza perche’ Gesu’ torna al Padre. Gesu’ e’ il sommo sacerdote e la sua nel Vangelo e’ la preghiera sacerdotale, la preghiera del Redentore.
Quindi e’ la preghiera su cui noi possiamo contare per offrire a Dio l’eterno sacrificio della Nuova Alleanza! e’ lo Spirito Santo che ci guida!
Tanti nella gerarchia hanno abbandonato la fede cattolica. Ma noi dobbiamo conservare la fede in Gesu’ Cristo, custodendo intatta la parola di Cristo!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

From the letter of Saint Paul the apostle to the Ephesians.
Brothers, each of us has been given grace according to the measure of the gift given to us by Christ. This is why it is said: “Ascended on high, he enslaved slavery: he distributed gifts to men”.
From the Gospel according to Sa. John the apostle.
During that time; raising his eyes to Heaven, Jesus said: «Father, the hour has come, glorify your Son, so that your Son may also glorify you, according to the power you have given Him over every man, by giving eternal life to those that you entrusted to him. And eternal life consists in this: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. I glorified you on earth, doing the work you gave me to do; and now, Father, glorify me with you with that glory which I had with you before the world was. I manifested your name to the men you entrusted to me, taking them from the world; they were yours and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word.
Today in the Gospel Jesus tells us: “For them I pray; I do not pray for the world, but for those you have entrusted to me, because they are yours.” So Jesus came to save all those in the world who have faith in him!
Today we celebrate the eve of the Ascension of the Lord. These are times that invite us to rejoice. There is joy and exultation because Jesus returns to the Father. Jesus is the high priest and his in the Gospel is the priestly prayer, the prayer of the Redeemer.
Therefore it is the prayer on which we can count to offer God the eternal sacrifice of the New Covenant! It is the Holy Spirit who guides us!
Many in the hierarchy have abandoned the Catholic faith. But we must maintain faith in Jesus Christ, keeping the word of Christ intact!
