Carissimo: Ricordati che il Signore Gesù Cristo, progenie di Davide, è risuscitato da morte, secondo il mio Vangelo, per il quale io soffro fino ad essere incatenato come un malfattore, ma la parola di Dio non si incatena.
Dal Vangelo secondo S. Giovanni.
In quel tempo Gesù disse ai suoi discepoli: «Io sono la vera vite, il Padre mio è il coltivatore. Ogni tralcio che in me non porta frutto, lo taglierà via, e quello che porta frutto, lo poterà, affinché ne porti ancor di più. Voi siete già mondi a motivo della parola che vi ho annunciato. Rimanete in me: ed io in voi.
Gesu’ ci avvisa che, se siamo veramente santi, saremo perseguitati per la nostra fede.
Nel vetus ordo, oggi festeggiamo S. Pietro da Verona, martire. Vissuto nel 1200 e domenicano. Molto infiammato nella predicazione. Viene mandato a predicare contro l’eresia Catare in Lombardia. Era cosi’ efficace la sua predicazione che i Catari complottarono per ucciderlo.
Quindi occorre essere uniti alla vite che e’ Gesu’ Cristo, come S. Pietro da Verona. Questo serve anche per avere una preghiera efficace!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

At that time Jesus said to his disciples: «I am the true vine, my Father is the cultivator. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit, he will cut off, and what does bear fruit, he will prune, so that it bears even more. You are already clean because of the word that I announced to you. Remain in me: and I in you.
Jesus warns us that if we are truly holy, we will be persecuted for our faith.
In the vetus ordo, today we celebrate St. Peter of Verona, martyr. Lived in 1200 and Dominican. Very passionate in his preaching. He is sent to preach against the Cathar heresy in Lombardy. His preaching was so effective that the Cathars plotted to kill him.
