EVANGELIUM E OMELIA\HOMILY:
Matt 25:31-46
In illo témpore: Dixit Iesus discípulis suis: Cum vénerit Fílius hóminis in maiestáte sua, et omnes Angeli cum eo, tunc sedébit super sedem maiestátis suæ: et congregabúntur ante eum omnes gentes, et separábit eos ab ínvicem, sicut pastor ségregat oves ab hædis: et státuet oves quidem a dextris suis, hædos autem a sinístris. Tunc dicet Rex his, qui a dextris eius erunt: Veníte, benedícti Patris mei, possidéte parátum vobis regnum a constitutióne mundi.
Gospel
Matt 25:31-46
At that time, Jesus said to His disciples: When the Son of Man shall come in His majesty, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory; and before Him will be gathered all the nations, and He will separate them one from another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; and He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the king will say to those on his right hand, ‘Come, blessed of My Father, take possession of the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave Me to eat; I was thirsty and you gave Me to drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; naked and you covered Me; sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’ Then the just will answer Him, saying; ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You; or thirsty, and give you to drink? And when did we see You a stranger, and take You in; or naked, and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And, answering, the king will say to them, ‘Amen I say to you, as long as you did it for one of these, the least of My brethren, you did it for Me.’ Then He will say to those on His left hand, ‘Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the everlasting fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry, and you did not give Me to eat; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; I was a stranger and you did not take Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.’ Then they also will and say, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Amen I say to you, as long as you did not do it for one of these least ones, you did not do it for Me.’ And these will go into everlasting, punishment, but the just into everlasting life.
DALL’OMELIA DI (FROM THE HOMILY BY) DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA – LUNEDI 19 FEBBRAIO 2024 ORE 17.30

FROM THE HOMILY BY DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
From the book of the prophet Ezekiel.
This is what the Almighty Lord says: “I myself will go in search of my sheep, I will visit them, just as a shepherd counts his flock when he is among his scattered sheep, so I will count my sheep and lead them. away from all the places where they were scattered, on the day of clouds and darkness.
From the Gospel according to St. Matthew.
At that time Jesus said to his disciples: «When the Son of Man comes in his majesty, with all his Angels, then he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; and he will put the sheep on his right and the kids on his left. Then the King will say to those on his right: “Come, you blessed of my Father, take possession of the kingdom that has been prepared for you since the creation of the world. Because I was hungry and you gave me something to eat; I was thirsty and you gave me a drink; I was a pilgrim and you lodged me; naked and you clothed me; sick and you visited me; prisoner and came to visit me.” This Monday of the first week of Lent the readings tell us about the heavenly Shepherd. This is the day of darkness and storm: the Lord comes to gather his flock, his united people. The Lord is also a shepherd who must divide his flock between the good (the sheep) and the evil (the goats). This is the final judgement. But the Lord sees us every day and judges us now. It is therefore necessary to always carry out works of good and mercy.
Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised!
