Dal libro della Sapienza (Ecclesiastico). Il giusto fiorira’ come una palma, come un cedro del Libano.
Dal Vangelo di San Luca. Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!
In quel tempo Gesù disse ai suoi discepoli: “Tenete i vostri fianchi cinti ed accese nelle vostre mani le lucerne!” (**). Ovcc0rre vigilare. Dobbiamo essere sempre pronti come S. Antonio Abate (vissuto nel IV secolo d.C.in Egitto). Dopo essere stato a lungo eremita nel deserto, e aver superato le prove di espiazione, ha fondato le prime comunita’ religiose. Anche noi possiamo diventare forti con la preghiera! Dobbiamo anche noi cercare come S. Antonio discepoli nella fede e nella preghiera! Che S. Antonio ci protegga!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato.

From the book of Wisdom (Ecclesiasticus). The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, like a cedar of Lebanon.
From the Gospel of Saint Luke. Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised! At that time Jesus said to his disciples: “Keep your loins girded and light the lamps in your hands!” (**). You need to be vigilant. We must always be ready like St. Anthony the Abbot (who lived in the 4th century AD in Egypt). After being a hermit in the desert for a long time, and having passed the trials of expiation, he founded the first religious communities. We too can become strong with prayer! We too must seek, like St. Anthony, disciples in faith and prayer! May St. Anthony protect us!
