DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
Lettura del Profeta Isaia. Sorgi, o Gerusalemme, sii raggiante: poiché la tua luce è venuta, e la gloria del Signore è spuntata sopra di te.
Vedemmo la sua stella in Oriente, e venimmo con doni per adorare il Signore. Allelúia!
Dal Vangelo secondo Matteo. Nato Gesú, in Betlemme di Giuda, al tempo del re Erode, ecco arrivare dei Magi dall’Oriente, dicendo: Dov’è nato il Re dei Giudei? Abbiamo visto la sua stella in Oriente e siamo venuti per adorarlo. Poi, veduta nuovamente la stella che li precedeva, i Magi gioirono di grandissima gioia, ed entrati nella casa trovarono il bambino con Maria sua madre e prostratisi, lo adorarono. E aperti i loro tesori, gli offrirono in dono oro, incenso e mirra.
Oggi e’ la solennita dell’Epifania. E’ la prima volta che Gesu’ si manifesta e lo fa a degli stranieri, i Magi i quali pur essendo di religioni pagana, sono venuti per adorarlo! E con grande gioia lo incontrano: Vidéntes autem stellam, gavísi sunt gáudio magno valde!
Quindi Gesu’ e’ venuto per la salvezza di tutti gli uomini. A lui donano oro, incenso e mirra. Infatti Gesu’ e’ re (oro), mediatore con Dio (incenso) e vittima sacrificale (mirra)!
Ci sono persone che in ogni tempo che vanno alla ricerca del Signore e lo trovano! Il Signore infatti vuole manifestarsi con noi! Non conosciamo il futuro, solo Dio lo sa!
Le nostre stelle sono la preghiera per intercessione di Maria, l’Eucarestia, l’amore per la Chiesa e la custodia del Depositum Fidei.
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

Reading from the Prophet Isaiah. Arise, O Jerusalem, be radiant: for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has dawned upon you. We saw his star in the East, and came with gifts to worship the Lord. Alleluia!
From the Gospel according to Matthew. Born Jesus, in Bethlehem of Judah, at the time of King Herod, here came the Magi from the East, saying: Where was the King of the Jews born? We have seen his star in the East and have come to worship him. Then, seeing again the star that preceded them, the Magi rejoiced with great joy, and upon entering the house they found the child with Mary his mother and, prostrating themselves, they adored him. And having opened their treasures, they offered him gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. Today is the solemnity of the Epiphany. It is the first time that Jesus manifests himself and he does so to foreigners, the Magi who, despite being of pagan religions, came to worship him! And with great joy they meet him: Vidéntes autem stellam, gavísi sunt gáudio magno valde! Therefore Jesus came for the salvation of all men. They give him gold, frankincense and myrrh. In fact, Jesus is king (gold), mediator with God (incense) and sacrificial victim (myrrh)! There are people at all times who go in search of the Lord and find him! In fact, the Lord wants to manifest himself to us! We don’t know the future, only God knows! Our stars are the prayer through the intercession of Mary, the Eucharist, the love for the Church and the custody of the Depositum Fidei.
