DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
Jer 1:17-19
In quei giorni, il Signore mi parlò così: «Cingiti i fianchi, alzati e di’ al popolo di Giuda tutto quello che ti ordino. Non ti spaventare davanti a loro, perché io farò in modo che tu non tema la loro faccia. Ecco, oggi ti rendo quale città forte, colonna di ferro, muraglia di bronzo sopra tutta la terra, contro i re di Giuda e i suoi capi, contro i sacerdoti e il popolo del paese. Essi ti faran guerra, ma non la vinceranno, perché io sono con te per liberarti» dice il Signore.
Marc 6:17-29
Erode aveva fatto arrestare e incatenare Giovanni in prigione ad istigazione di Erodiade, moglie di Filippo suo fratello, che egli aveva sposata. Perché Giovanni diceva ad Erode: «Non ti è lecito tenere la moglie di tuo fratello». Erodiade dunque tramava contro di lui volendo farlo morire; ma non ci riusciva, perché Erode temeva Giovanni, sapendolo uomo giusto e santo, e vegliava su di lui; e molte cose faceva dopo averlo consultato, e volentieri l’ascoltava. Ma venne il giorno opportuno in cui Erode, per il suo dì natalizio, imbandì un convitto ai grandi della corte, ai capitani e ai primi della Galilea. Ora la figlia della stessa Erodiade, si presentò a ballare, ed essendo piaciuta ad Erode e ai convitati, il re disse alla fanciulla : «Chiedimi quel che vuoi; io te lo darò, fosse anche la metà del mio regno». Costei, uscita, domandò a sua madre: «Cosa chiederò?». E quella le disse: «La testa di Giovanni Battista». E ritornata subito, frettolosamente, dal re, gli fece la domanda dicendo: «Voglio che tu mi dia adesso in un bacile la testa di Giovanni Battista». Il re ne fu rattristato; ma a causa del giuramento e dei convitati, non volle opporle un rifiuto. Spedì una guardia, con l’ordine che fosse portato il capo di Giovanni Battista in un vassoio. E quegli, andato, lo decollò nella prigione, e portò in un bacile la testa di lui; e la dette alla fanciulla, e la fanciulla la dette alla madre. Il che risaputosi, i suoi discepoli andarono a prendere il suo corpo; e lo deposero in un sepolcro.
La prima lettura (da Geremia) parla della citta di Gerusalemme.
Oggi celebriamo la decapitazione di San Giovanni Battista. Di lui celebriamo sia la nascita che la morte. Cio’ perche’ e’ stato l’annunciatore del Regno di Dio. San Giovanni ha accusato di adulterio Erode avendo quest’ultimo sposato la moglie del fratello. Questa festivita’ ci incoragga a seguire fedelmente l’insegnamento di Cristo. Non certo come i vescovi della falsa chiesa di Bergoglio che non sono rimesti fedeli a Gesu’ Cristo!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

Jer 1:17-19
In those days, the word of the Lord came to me, saying: Gird your loins; stand up and tell Juda all that I command you. Be not crushed on their account, as though I would leave you crushed before them; for it is I this day Who have made you a fortified city, a pillar of iron, a wall of brass, against the whole land; against Juda’s kings and princes, against its priests and people. They will fight against you, but not prevail over you, for I am with you to deliver you, says the Lord.
Mark 6:17-29
At that time, Herod had sent and taken John, and bound him in prison, because of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife, whom he had married. For John had said to Herod, It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife. But Herodias laid snares for him, and would have liked to put him to death, but she could not. For Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just and holy man, and protected him; and when he heard him talk, he did any things, and he liked to hear him. And a favorable day came when Herod on his birthday gave a banquet to the officials, tribunes and chief men of Galilee. And Herodias’ own daughter having come in and danced, she pleased Herod and his guests. And the king said to the girl, Ask of me what you will, and I will give it to you. And he swore to her, Whatever you ask, I will give you, even though it be the half of my kingdom. Then she went out and said to her mother, What am I to ask for? And she said, The head of John the Baptist. And she came in at once with haste to the king, and asked, saying, I want you right away to give me on a dish the head of John the Baptist. And grieved as he was, the king because of his oath and his guests, was unwilling to displease her. But sending an executioner, he commanded that his head be brought on a dish. Then he beheaded him in the prison, and brought his head on a dish, and gave it to the girl, and the girl gave it to her mother. His disciples, hearing of it, came and took away his body, and laid it in a tomb.
The first reading (from Jeremiah) speaks of the city of Jerusalem. Today we celebrate the beheading of Saint John the Baptist. We celebrate both his birth and his death. This is because he was the herald of the Kingdom of God. Saint John accused Herod of adultery as the latter married his brother’s wife. May this holiday encourage us to faithfully follow Christ’s teaching. Certainly not like the bishops of the false church of Bergoglio who have not remained faithful to Jesus Christ!
