Matt 15:21-28
In illo témpore: Egréssus Iesus secéssit in partes Tyri et Sidónis. Et ecce, múlier Chananǽa a fínibus illis egréssa clamávit, dicens ei: Miserére mei, Dómine, fili David: fília mea male a dæmónio vexátur. Qui non respóndit ei verbum. Et accedéntes discípuli eius rogábant eum, dicéntes: Dimítte eam; quia clamat post nos. Ipse autem respóndens, ait: Non sum missus nisi ad oves, quæ periérunt domus Israël. At illa venit, et adorávit eum, dicens: Dómine, ádiuva me. Qui respóndens, ait: Non est bonum súmere panem filiórum, et míttere cánibus. At illa dixit: Etiam, Dómine: nam et catélli edunt de micis, quæ cadunt de mensa dominórum suórum. Tunc respóndens Iesus, ait illi: O múlier, magna est fides tua: fiat tibi, sicut vis. At that time, leaving there, Jesus retired to the district of Tyre and Sidon. And behold, a Canaanite woman came out of that territory and cried out to Him, saying, Have pity on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is sorely beset by a devil. He answered her not a word. And His disciples came up and besought Him, saying, Send her away, for she is crying after us. But He answered and said, I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. But she came and worshipped Him, saying, Lord, help me! He said in answer, It is not fair to take the children’s bread and to cast it to the dogs. But she said, Yes, Lord; for even the dogs eat of the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table. Then Jesus answered and said to her, O woman, great is your faith! Let it be done to you as you will. And her daughter was healed from that moment.

Ezech 18:1-9
In quei giorni il Signore mi indirizzò la sua parola dicendo: «Perché tra voi circola questo proverbio a proposito della terra d’Israele, e dite: “I padri mangiarono l’uva acerba e si sono allegati i denti ai figlioli?”. In verità, dice il Signore, questa parabola non sarà più un proverbio applicato ad Israele.
Matt 15:21-28
In quel tempo, partito di là, Gesù si ritirò nelle parti di Tiro e di Sidone. Ed ecco una donna Cananea, venuta da quei dintorni, si mise a gridare: «Abbi pietà di me, o Signore, Figlio di David: la mia figliola è crudelmente tormentata dal demonio».
Abbiamo appena ascoltato la donna cananea che chiede aiuto a Gesu’. Non e’ il solo episodio in cui un pagano chiede aiuto- Il Signore in questi casi fa un’eccezione perche vede una fede straordinaria. Si tratta di un anticipo dei popoli che verranno evangelizzati.
Per noi sono insegnamenti per la nostra preghiera. Per vedere se siamo umili come la donna cananea. Solo cosi’ potremo riceve le grazie di Dio dopo la Pentecoste. Gesu’ accetta quindi di compiere il miracolo prima del tempo!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

Ezek 18:1-9 In those days the Lord addressed his word to me saying: “Why is this proverb circulating among you about the land of Israel, and you say: ‘The fathers ate the sour grapes and set their teeth on the children?’ Truly, says the Lord, this parable will no longer be a proverb applied to Israel. 7Matt 15:21-28 At that time, having left there, Jesus withdrew to the parts of Tire and Sidon. And behold, a Canaanite woman came from those surroundings and cried out, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David; my daughter is being cruelly tormented by the devil.”
We have just heard the Canaanite woman asking Jesus for help. It is not the only episode in which a pagan asks for help – the Lord in these cases makes an exception because he sees an extraordinary faith. It is an anticipation of the peoples who will be evangelized. For us they are teachings for our prayer. To see if we are as humble as the Canaanite woman. Only in this way will we be able to receive God’s graces after Pentecost. Jesus therefore agrees to perform the miracle ahead of time!
