DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
Oggi ricordiamo S. Ignazio di Antiochia, santo e martire. Conobbe probabilmente l’ultimo degli Apostoli, S. Giovanni Evangelista. Affronto con coraggio e addirittura gioia e gratitudine il martirio!
Il Vangelo ci dice che se il chicco di grano non muore non fruttifica. Cosi anche i nostri sacrifici, come quello supremo di S,Ignazio, servono per salvare altre persone.
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

Today we remember St. Ignatius of Antioch, saint and martyr. He probably met the last of the Apostles, St. John the Evangelist. I face martyrdom with courage and even joy and gratitude!
The Gospel tells us that if the grain of wheat does not die it will not bear fruit. So even our sacrifices, like the supreme one of St. Ignatius, are used to save other people.
Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised!
