EVANGELIUM E OMELIA\HOMILY:
Matt 25:1-13
In illo témpore: Dixit Iesus discípulis suis parábolam hanc: Símile erit regnum coelórum decem virgínibus: quæ, accipiéntes lámpades suas, exiérunt óbviam sponso et sponsæ. At ille respóndens, ait: Amen, dico vobis, néscio vos. Vigiláte ítaque, quia nescítis diem neque horam.
Gospel
Matt 25:1-13.
At that time Jesus spoke this parable to His disciples: “Then will the kingdom of heaven be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went forth to meet the bridegroom and the bride. Five of them were foolish and five wise. But the five foolish, when they took their lamps, took no oil with them, while the wise did take oil in their vessels with the lamps. Then as the bridegroom was long in coming, they all became drowsy and slept. And at midnight a cry arose, ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming, go forth to meet him!’ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ The wise answered, saying, ‘Lest there may not be enough for us and for you, go rather to those who sell it, and buy some for yourselves.’ Now while they were gone to buy it, the bridegroom came; and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. Finally there came also the other virgins, who said, ‘Sir, sir, open the door for us!’ But he answered and said, ‘Amen I say to you, I do not know you.’ Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.”
DALL’OMELIA DI (FROM THE HOMILY BY) DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA – LUNEDI 30 GENNAIO 2023 ORE 17.30:

DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
Eccli 51:1-8; 51:12
Ti voglio lodare, o Signore mio Re: ti voglio glorificare, o Dio mio salvatore.

FROM THE HOMILY BY DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
Here are 51:1-8; 51:12 I want to praise you, O Lord my King: I want to glorify you, O God my Savior. I want to celebrate your name, O refuge of my life, because you have redeemed my soul from death; you have preserved my body from the grave and my foot you have saved from the power of hell. You delivered me from the scourge of the tongue and the lip of the quick to lie; and in the face of my adversaries you have made yourself my protector.
Matthew 25:1-13 At that time, Jesus told his disciples this parable: “The kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom and the bride.
Today we remember Santa Martina virgin and martyr and one of the first Christian martyrs. In the reading The Lord comes to our aid. In fact, the Lord is always our protector, even in the face of death threats and the threats of the wicked. More important is the life of the soul so that it remains faithful to Christ. The parable of the wise virgins in the Gospel speaks of the oil (faith) which cannot be bought as it is a personal gift. In fact, faith must never fail given that the Lord can fail. Martyrs are those who have kept the faith without allowing themselves to be disturbed by the wicked or by temptations.
Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised!
