DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
Eccli 31:8-11
Beato l’uomo che è trovato senza macchia, che non è andato dietro all’oro, e non ha sperato nel danaro e nei tesori. Chi è costui e gli daremo lode? Poiché certo ha fatto meraviglie nella sua vita.
Luca 12:35-40
In quel tempo: Disse Gesù ai suoi discepoli: «I vostri fianchi sian cinti ed accese nelle vostre mani le lucerne, come coloro che aspettano il loro padrone quando torni da nozze, per aprirgli appena giunge e picchia.
Oggi celebriamo la memoria di S. Raimondo da Pignafort (Barcellona). Era un predicatore dominicano che si impegno’ nella evangelizzazione dei mori. Visse fino a 95 anni per la salvezza delle anime.
Predico’ il sacramento della Penitenza o Confessione. Oggi trascurato perche’ molti cristiani sottovalutano l’importanza di questo sacramento. Ma e’ uno strumento privilegiato. E’ il sangue di Cristo che purifica.
L’evangelizzazione dei Mori riguarda gli arabi di Spagna. Il nostro impegno deve andare per l’evangelizzazione. Non tanto all’unita’ dei cristiani. Gesu’ infatti e’ l”unico salvatore del mondo. E’ vergognoso di fronte a Dio smettere di evangelizzare per un preteso rispetto verso di loro!
Sia lodato Gesu’ Cristo! Sempre sia lodato!

Eccli 31:8-11 Blessed is the man who is found without blemish, who has not gone after gold, and has not hoped for money and treasures. Who is this and shall we praise him? Because he certainly did wonders in his life.
Luke 12:35-40 At that time: Jesus said to his disciples: «Your loins are girded and you light the lamps in your hands, like those who wait for their master when he returns from the wedding, to open for him as soon as he comes and knocks.
Today we celebrate the memory of St. Raymond of Pignafort (Barcelona). He was a Dominican preacher who engaged in the evangelization of the Moors. He lived to be 95 for the salvation of souls. He preached the sacrament of Penance of Confession. Today neglected because many Christians underestimate the importance of this sacrament. But it is a privileged tool. It is the blood of Christ that purifies. The evangelization of the Moors concerns the Arabs of Spain. Our commitment must go to evangelization. Not so much to Christian unity. Indeed, Jesus is the only savior of the world. It is shameful before God to stop evangelizing out of a supposed respect for them!
