Luc 2:42-52
Nesciebátis, quia in his, quæ Patris mei sunt, opórtet me esse?
Gospel
Luke 2:42-52
When Jesus was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem according to the custom of the feast. And after they had fulfilled the days, when they were returning, the Boy Jesus remained in Jerusalem, and His parents did not know it. But thinking that He was in the caravan, they had come a day’s journey before it occurred to them to look for Him among their relatives and acquaintances. And not finding Him, they returned to Jerusalem in search of Him. And it came to pass after three days, that they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. And all who were listening to Him were amazed at His understanding and His answers. And when they saw Him, they were astonished. And His Mother said to Him, Son, why have You done so to us? Behold, in sorrow Your father and I have been seeking You. And He said to them, How is it that you sought Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business? And they did not understand the word that He spoke to them. And He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was subject to them; and His Mother kept all these things carefully in her heart. And Jesus advanced in wisdom and age and grace before God and men.
DALL’OMELIA DI (FROM THE HOMILY BY) DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA – MARTEDI 10 GENNAIO 2023 ORE 17.30
DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
Col 3:12-17

FROM THE HOMILY BY DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
Col 3:12-17 Brethren: As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with feelings of mercy, goodness, humility, gentleness and patience, bearing with each other and forgiving one another, if anyone has something to complain about another: as the Lord will has forgiven, so have you. But above all this put on charity, which is the bond of perfection.
Luke 2:42-52 When Jesus reached the age of twelve, having gone up to Jerusalem according to the custom of that solemnity, and when those days were over, they returned, the boy Jesus remained in Jerusalem, and his parents did not notice it. Now, thinking that he was in the party, they walked for a day, after which they looked for him among relatives and acquaintances. But not finding him, they returned to Jerusalem to look for him. And it happened that after three days they found him in the Temple, as he sat in the midst of the Doctors, and listened to them and questioned them, and all those present marveled at his wisdom and his answers.
The epistle taken from the letter to the Romans is also very beautiful: offering our bodies as a sacrifice to God in the fulfillment of his will! If Jesus died on the cross and offered himself to the Father, we too must do the same. But let each one remain modest, because we are part of a mystical body which is the church. We are all important but the Savior is only Jesus Christ. For this we must respect and love others (members of the Church!).
Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised!
