EVANGELIUM E OMELIA\HOMILY:
Matt 13:44-52
Gospel
Matt 13:44-52
At that time, Jesus spoke this parable to His disciples: The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field; he who finds it hides it, and in his joy goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls. When he finds a single pearl of great price, he goes and sells all that he has and buys it. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net cast into the sea that gathered in fish of every kind. When it was filled, they hauled it out, and sitting down on the beach, they gathered the good fish into vessels, but threw away the bad. So will it be at the end of the world. The angels will go out and separate the wicked from among the just, and will cast them into the furnace of fire, where there will be the weeping, and the gnashing of teeth. Have you understood all these things? They said to Him, Yes. And He said to them, So then, every Scribe instructed in the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings forth from his storeroom things new and old.
DALL’OMELIA DI (FROM THE HOMILY BY) DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA – SABATO 19 NOVEMBRE 2022 ORE 17.30:

FROM THE HOMILY BY DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
Today we remember Saint Elizabeth of Hungary, daughter of the Margrave of Thuringia a region of Germany.
Married to the King of Hungary, she remains a widow while still young and with small children. However, she was already used to praying and doing works of charity for the poor and lepers. She therefore decides to devote herself to prayer by entering the tertiary order of the Franciscan order.
For this she abandons all wealth and remains in poverty until his death.
Her true virtue was charity and love of neighbor. She had dedicated all of herself to the treasure of faith in God, abandoning all earthly riches. She had therefore followed the teaching of Jesus Christ described in the Gospel of Matthew (the Kingdom of God is like treasure hidden in the field),
We too must be found ready today! For this we must carry out works of charity towards the needy and the suffering!
Only in this way will we acquire eternal salvation!
Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised!
