EVANGELIUM E OMELIA\HOMILY:
Matt 5:13-19
In illo témpore: Dixit Iesus discípulis suis: Vos estis sal terræ.
Gospel
Matt 5:13-19
In that time, Jesus said to His disciples: You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt lose its savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is good for nothing any more but to be cast out, and to be trodden on by men. You are the light of the world. A city seated on a mountain cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but upon a candlestick, that it may shine to all that are in the house. So let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. Do not think that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets. I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For amen I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot, or one tittle shall not pass of the law, till all be fulfilled. He therefore that shall break one of these least commandments, and shall so teach men, shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven. But he that shall do and teach, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
DALL’OMELIA DI (FROM THE HOMILY BY) DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA – VENERDI 30 SETTEMBRE 2022 ORE 18.00

DALL’OMELIA DI DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
2 Tim 4:1-8

FROM THE HOMILY BY DON ENRICO RONCAGLIA (**,1)
2 Tim 4: 1-8 Dearest: I adjure you before God and Jesus Christ, who has to come to judge the living and the dead, for his coming and for his kingdom: preach the Word, insist at the right time and out of time.
Matth 5: 13-19 At that time Jesus said to his disciples: «You are the salt of the earth. And if the salt loses its virtue, how will it be reactivated? It is no better than to be thrown away and trampled on by people. You are the light of the world. A city placed on a mountain cannot remain hidden.
St. Jerome who lived between the 4th and 5th centuries is an example for us. Dalmatian by birth, she converted to Christianity at the age of 22.
Become a monk first and then a priest.
Having become the pope’s secretary, he was charged with translating the Bible into Latin.
This is the official translation of the Church.
He is one of the greatest doctors of the Church.
St. Jerome teaches us to work with love and sacrifice. To be the salt of the earth!
Praised be Jesus Christ! Always be praised!
